FRANCO CERVI

Franco Cervi was born in Milan in 1968. For over ten years he worked with the studios Sottsass Associati and Matteo Thun & Partners. In 2006 he founded the publishing company 279 Editions, after which he began his own artistic practice. Cervi's research focuses on the essence of existential thought: man's way of being is formulated in its various aspects through numerical decoding that becomes the genetic mapping of infinity. On a formal level, the work expresses the boundary beyond which no further simplification is possible, the point in which concept and form coincide in a resolving synthesis. Cervi lives and works in Milan.
