MARYLAND BANKERS

Since its first annual convention in April 1896, held in Baltimore, MD, the Maryland Bankers Association (MBA) has been serving the State's financial services community. At that meeting, the founding members elected Enoch Pratt, President of National Farmers and Planters Bank, to be their first Association president. Since that day, the MBA has remained committed to the safety and soundness of the State's banking industry and the well being of the economy in which the industry operates... Since its founding in 1896, the Maryland Bankers Association has served the State's financial services industry. As the only Maryland-based trade group representing banks and thrifts in the state, the MBA works to maintain the competitiveness of the banking industry by promoting the strength and success of Maryland banks and bankers...
