Michal Auction Service is a family owned and operated auction business based in Flagler, Colorado. Michal Auction Service conducts onsite auctions of all types, including farm, real estate, business liquidation, household, estate, antique, and benefit auctions... Michal Auction Service began in the late 1940s after David Michal started auctioneering, following in his father Frank's footsteps. David and his wife Gwenn initially operated the auction service. In the early 1970s, David and Gwenn's son, Jim, joined his father as an auctioneer after attending and graduating from Reisch Auction College of Mason City, Iowa. Years later, Jim and wife, Beverly became the primary operators for the auction service with the help of their four sons. Today, the principal auctioneers are Jim Michal and son, Jake Michal, and their families continue to help work auctions. In addition to auctioneering, Jim and Jake also farm and ranch in the Flagler area.
