PORT CITY MARINE SERVICES - Key Persons

After serving in the U.S. Navy, D.J. Smith continued his service in the Maritime Industry sailing on Commercial Vessels and Dredges, and obtaining 100 Ton Captains Licenses for over three issues. D.J. Smith started Port City Marine Surveyors in 1985 while sailing on Tug Boats, Tankers and Sea Going Hopper Dredges and mentoring under a local surveyor whom was a retired US Coast Guard Vessel Inspector. He started PCMS in 1985 and has been surveying for over 25 years. D.J. Smith maintains membership in Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® (SAMS®) as an Accredited Marine Surveyor® - #221 and in the International Association of Marine Investigators® (IAMI) as a Certified Marine Investigator - #00574-084. D.J. Smith served as Gulf Regional Director for Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors from 1995 - 1998.
