COLORWHEEL - Key Persons

Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson rejoined Colorwheel Painting as of September 2015 to take on a role of estimator and project consultant. Andrew is responsible for meeting with customers, providing consultation regarding their needs and how our services fit (or in some cases don't fit), and he then facilitates sending of an estimate through to project approval, and as needed will set up a team on a project. Andrew has a history with Colorwheel that dates back to 2009, when Andrew was hired on as a painter. True to form with the world being a small place, Mike recruited Andrew after watching him paint for a while on a random jobsite. As it turns out, Andrew went to the same Green Bay high school as the owner Mike, the two of them have parents who worked together in Green Bay's court system, and they both took part in the same student painting franchise. Andrew currently resides in Wauwatosa. He is an avid golfer and golf fan, he lives and dies with the Packers. Andrew is humble, sincere, and continually puts the needs of others before himself. Colorwheel has no doubt that Andrew will find success in its system, and find a very rewarding career here.

Michael Madson

Job Titles:
  • Owner
Owner Michael has known Ish for 18 years, when Ish was just 7 or 8 years old. From the age of 12 or so, Ish had some odd jobs around Colorwheel. He came and went from Colorwheel as a teenager, each time in a respectful manner, and always welcomed back. Most recently (not too recent Owner Michael Madson was born in Cleveland, Ohio but his family moved him at the age of 5. Thereafter, Michael grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and went on to attend the University of Minnesota. While there, Michael studied architecture and entrepreneurial business. After graduating in 2002, Michael apprenticed in the interior and exterior painting business for two years. After witnessing an industry plagued by poor interior painting business practice, Michael saw an opportunity for vast improvement and started his own residential painting business. Since then, Michael has slowly exited from the painting work itself, and shifted his focus to growing the business, developing its dedicated team, documenting process and systems and continually fine-tuning business practices to give his clients total security and peace of mind. Outside of business, Michael is married to Breah (West), whom he was introduced to by a client! Now that's a referral! Coincidentially, Breah also grew up in Green Bay, so that just worked out great! The two have been married 9 years and counting and celebrate 13 years in February of 2022. Their oldest is a daughter named Evelyn who is nine years old. Next in line is James, who is seven (with the appetite of a 16-year old). Last but not least is John John, who will be 5 in June. The kids have a few gerbils, fish, and want a dog desperately. As a family, the Madson's enjoy spending time with extended family, going to the lake, visiting playgrounds and parks, and enjoying their neighborhood and neighbors. The family is a parish member of St. Williams in Waukesha, WI. Michael says he couldn't continue to push for greatness in this business without Breah, and now his little Evelyn, James, and John to whom he wishes to provide a world of greater opportunities and experiences. A goal he hopes to reach soon is the purchase of a Class A or Class C RV so he can get the family on the road, exploring this country.
