Our lab seeks to understand the brain's mechanisms for interpreting visual inputs, processing them, making decisions and eventually generating motor outputs. Our work merges a host of backgrounds, from computational approaches to electrophysiology, to better understand how groups of neurons give rise to visual perception, cognition, and action. We are part of the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Neuroscience Institute.
