Deborah Beylus, owner of South Florida Mediation Services, provides divorce mediation services and financial support to couples with and without attorneys. Deborah is a Certified Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator, specializing in financial and relationship matters that are unique to divorce. Deborah holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Barnard College, Columbia University. Deborah is Certified as a Florida Supreme Court Circuit, County and Dependency Mediator. Deborah is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ from The Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA™), which certifies, educates and promotes of the use of financial professionals in the divorce arena. She is also a Certified Divorce Coach. Deborah trains mediators on the financial issues in family mediation. She is a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Primary Mediation Trainer in Family and County Mediation and Assistant Mediation Trainer in Civil Circuit Mediation. Deborah is a frequent lecturer and author in the areas of Florida Family Law Mediation and Family Economics. Deborah serves as President of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Inc. (FAPM), the oldest and largest professional association for mediation and alternative dispute resolution in the state of Florida. Deborah holds a Diplomate membership designation. Deborah also serves as a Member of the Supreme Court's Mediation Qualifications Discipline and Review Board (MQDRB). Deborah's work as a mediator is geared towards encouraging the navigation of transitions from the current circumstances towards the ideal ones. This work lets her tap into what she's learned from her own and others' life experiences. Born and raised in New York, Deborah has lived in South Florida for over twenty-five years, spending much of this time working within the legal and financial communities. With over thirty years of financial industry experience, Deborah is able to quickly gauge the financial landscape of each case. Deborah is committed to sharing information that helps couples avoid long-term regret with financial decisions made during the divorce process.
