WE ARE SCULPT - Key Persons

Arlene Pieri

Job Titles:
  • Head of Biz Ops

Jason Carroll

Job Titles:
  • Senior Community Manager at Sculpt
Growing up in a small, podunk mountain town, you might not think Jason would have what it takes to hang at the highest levels of social media marketing, but his viral Miley Cyrus or Ryan Reynolds retweets say different. Upon receiving his BA in Visual and Public Art/Marketing at California State University, Monterey Bay, Jason hightailed it back to the Central Valley of California to plant some roots. Since then he has managed a myriad of social clients from national rail transportation to global itty-bitty dried grapes (even though he despises raisins…"it's a texture thing"). Now, with 10 years of social and digital media marketing under his belt, Jason knows timing is everything, small town charm and etiquette go a long ways (especially when your job is to talk to people online all day) and to be ahead of a trend, you have to make the trend. As the Senior Community Manager at Sculpt, Jason leads proactive and reactive social media engagement programs for a number of high-profile brands.

Josh Krakauer - CEO

Job Titles:
  • CEO
  • Founder and CEO of Sculpt
Josh Krakauer is the founder and CEO of Sculpt, but you already knew that. (You might not know he's a former breakdancer with a background in drag racing, but that's another story.) Josh has developed social media strategies and awareness campaigns that have launched best-selling books, humanized publicly-traded brands, accelerated early-stage startups, raised millions for non-profits, and convinced tech workers to move to Iowa. His team deserves most of the credit. As CEO, Josh champions a "Hustle & Heart" culture-a pursuit of growth while putting humans first. The Sculpt team was recognized for being one of the "Coolest Places to Work" in the ICR Iowa region. A community builder at heart, Josh is obsessed with connecting people passionate about their ideas. Josh has been a long-time organizer and mentor at events like Startup Weekend and Iowa Startup Games, and programs like the Iowa Startup Accelerator and University of Iowa's Founder's Club. Josh sits on the advisory board of the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, was named one of the CBJ's 40 under 40 in 2015 at 25. Josh has spoken all over the midwest about lessons he's learned helping brands "win the internet", though he never does the same talk twice.

Kara Schlabaugh

Job Titles:
  • Head of Creative
Kara is an Iowa native who has ventured abroad to live in Florence, Italy (it's a long story). She feels lucky to be able to do her job from anywhere in the world, as long as she has her MacBook and a good wifi connection. With over 8 years of experience designing for agencies and freelancing, Kara has helped countless global clients create authentic and effective designs that make people think, click, and buy. When she isn't behind her computer you can find her painting, watching reality tv or eating something dipped in ranch, because, after all, she is still a Midwest girl at heart.

Laurens Grisel

Job Titles:
  • Senior Engagement Manager
Laurens has lived in Singapore, Japan, Ukraine, Russia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and now he's in New York. Ask him for stories and he'll have plenty to share, or regale him with tales of your own youth! He's always curious. Laurens is a motivated, ‘let's get the job done' kind of guy. At Sculpt, Laurens oversees the full lifecycle of work for a diverse set of clients. He collaborates closely with the content team on some of Sculpt's most technical executive, organic, and paid social media programs. He's here to make his clients happy, the team productive, and himself…stressed. Prior to Sculpt, Laurens held social media management and copywriting roles with global B2B companies and agencies. His preferred food is something that's almost healthy but tastes anything but, like a frozen KIND bar that's practically a grown-up Snickers. They're awesome, give them a try. You can find them at Target. He's typically taking a break with his cats, trying to cut down his fifty open tabs in Chrome, or planning the next month's content. When not working, he's writing, reading or binge-watching his favorite shows on repeat. Please interrupt him and say hi!

Madelyn Pike

Job Titles:
  • Manager of People Ops & Talent
Madelyn has built her entire career around people. A self-described "doer," her ultimate goal is to build talented teams, nurture an engaged culture, and influence employee performance from the heart. Madelyn holds degrees in Communications, Psychology, and an MBA, but swears she was still fun in college. As Sculpt's Manager of People Operations and Talent, Madelyn leads initiatives surrounding talent acquisition, learning & development, employee experience, and all things related to humans (or dogs, she doesn't discriminate). Madelyn loves holiday eves, paper to-do lists, and two green-eyed little boys. She cheers for whatever team her husband is rooting for ("go sports!") but really just hopes everyone has fun. Born and raised in Kentucky, Madelyn is outdoorsy (in that she likes iced tea on a back porch) and the later it gets (or more rosé consumed), the stronger her accent becomes. In her spare time, you'll find her hiding away with a book, catching a pilates class, or planning her next soiree.

MaryJane Ragusa

Job Titles:
  • Senior Content Manager
Residing in the Sunshine State, MaryJane has a bachelors in Communication from the University of South Florida and has almost a decade of experience in marketing and branding. Getting her start in social media management, she grew her passion for content creation, storytelling, and strategic development over the years to cultivate brand's awareness and reach within a multitude of industries from nonprofits, dentistry, event planning, parks and recreation, health and beauty, and beyond. When she isn't creating content calendars, you can catch MJ drinking coffee (pretty much always - how else do you think she writes all day?), finding the next small business to obsess over, and collecting new plants as she is now a self-proclaimed #plantlady. She might (and by might we mean she will) get you to follow all the animal accounts on Instagram.

Molly O'Connor

Job Titles:
  • Content Manager
A Texas native and passionate storyteller, Molly's personality and curly red hair are both equally as bold as the Lone Star State itself. Molly loves to connect with others and make an impact through her words. She's passionate about using her writing for good, driving others to make a change, and pushing her limits creatively. With more than half a decade of experience copywriting and creating content, Molly's previous clients include one of the largest children's hospitals in the nation, a 3x New York Times best-selling author, and multiple non-profits and start-ups.

Raphael Karam

Job Titles:
  • Senior Campaign Manager
Raphael is a full-time reader, cinema lover, and Senior Campaign Manager at Sculpt. With several years split between selling both offline and online, Raphael can't hold the urge to deep dive into paid media data to come up with optimizations and drive up ROAS. Previous to Sculpt, Raphael was a Media Buyer freelancer with clients from all over the globe. Prior to that, he was the Growth & Performance Leader in LATAM's biggest Sales & Marketing Headhunting firm, which helped him craft his B2B Marketing skills.

Taylor Fleege

Job Titles:
  • Engagement Manager
Born and raised in the Midwest, Taylor takes pride in her small-town roots and love for all things dairy. But she wasn't afraid to exchange her barn clothes for blazers when she moved from rural Wisconsin to the big city in 2017 (that is, Madison, WI). Now she's building strong and seamless client relationships, staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends and creating nimble social strategies to help her B2B clients reach their marketing goals. Outside of her full-time gig, she's helping others hit their fitness goals. As a certified CycleBar instructor, Taylor is motivated by encouraging her riders to be the strongest version of themselves, both mentally and physically. When she isn't working (or working out), she enjoys grocery shopping at Trader Joe's, drinking matcha lattes, binging reality TV and spending time with her friends and family.

Taylor Haley

Job Titles:
  • Content Strategist
Taylor has 10 years of experience developing digital and content strategies for various organizations in the B2B and B2C spaces. Primarily based in Dallas, although often remote, Taylor is a digital storyteller with a passion for crafting meaningful customer journeys. When she's not sneaking away to read a good book, you can find her delighting fans with a daily dose of pawtastic dad jokes with her Instagram famous pup, @kirkthefloof - the adorable Goldendoodle who gives the best paw-fives in Texas.

Tori Smith

Job Titles:
  • Graphic Designer
A resident of Dallas, TX, Tori is a serious art and design junkie. From spending a day in a gallery to spending an hour analyzing package design at the grocery store, she loves it all. She has over 7 years of experience making design and animation magic happen for large tech companies and small design studios. Tori is passionate about creating designs that tell a story, elevate a brand, and make our feeds nicer to look at. Outside of work, when she's not spending time trying to be a "cool aunt," Tori loves to peruse the Criterion Channel for a new favorite film. She finds herself drawn to both French neo-noir thrillers and feel-good documentaries about grandmas.
