SALTUS - Key Persons
Adam is passionate about developing long standing relationships with his clients. He advises entrepreneurs, professionals, trustees, and retirees in various stages of life, but they all work closely with Adam to understand how best to preserve or grow their wealth.
Managing his clients' wealth typically involves much more than asset allocation. Adam spends time developing a deep understanding of what's important to his clients before investing their funds to help them achieve it. He also works closely with clients' lawyers and accountants to reach optimal outcomes and has regular discussions with younger family members to engage the next generation.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family, playing golf, and the occasional fitness challenge (marathon, Ironman triathlon).
Adam is a CFA Charterholder, is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and has a degree in Economics.
He advises entrepreneurs, professionals, trustees, and retirees, in various stages of life but they all work closely with Adam to understand how best to preserve or grow their wealth.
Alex is the Managing Director of Saltus Financial Planning and looks after a small number of longstanding clients. Alex is Chair of the SFP Board, which is responsible for the provision of regulated financial advice to Saltus clients. He is passionate about the positive force that holistic financial planning can make to people's lives and their financial wellbeing; for Alex it's all about "trust & integrity" in the process. Alex volunteers his time and expertise with the PFS Education Champions initiative to educate young people as they start their journey to adulthood and begin their careers.
For over 20 years Alex has held positions along the client journey, including administration, report writing, investment and financial advice, and leadership, giving him an acute awareness of the client experience. This insight helps Alex to develop and implement better working practices, which helps ensure Saltus's clients receive a service that exceeds their expectations.
In 2018 Alex was named as one of the PAM Top 40 Under 40, which recognises the rising stars of the private client wealth management world. Alex is also a Certified Financial Planner and has reached the gold standard of Chartered Fellow by examination of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) and the Chartered Institute to Savings and Investments (CISI).
Alex lives in Kent with his family and outside of work loves rugby, especially Harlequins rugby, and has a growing interest in motorbikes!

Andrew joined Saltus in 2021 as a Partner and Chairman of Saltus Asset Management. He also chairs the asset allocation committee.
Andrew was previously Chief Executive of Waverton Investment Management. Before that, he was Chief Executive of Kames Capital where he was responsible for the hugely successful growth and rebranding strategy. He also advises wealthy families and is currently Non-Executive Director of Polar Global Healthcare Trust and a trustee of The Rank Foundation where he chairs the investment committee.
Ashley joined Saltus at the beginning of 2021 as our Chief Technology Officer to instigate technological innovation across the firm. He has extensive hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of technologies, platforms and business domains. He Specialises in Front-to-Back IT systems across capital markets, private banking, asset management and corporate finance. Ashley has almost 20 years' experience in the asset management world having led technology teams as CTO at both Edmond de Rothschild and Finisterre Capital prior to joining Saltus.
In his spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with his family discovering parks in and around London as he lives in the outer suburbs.
Catharine has accumulated over 12 years' experience in the wealth management industry. She started her career at a small boutique firm, helping to establish its online advice offering, before moving to Saltus at the end of 2015. Since then, Catharine has worked with clients to meet their objectives by creating bespoke financial planning solutions.
Catharine holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is currently working towards achieving Chartered status.
In her spare time, Catherine regularly trains in Japanese Jujutsu and also enjoys yoga, as well as a good book to wind down!
Catharine has worked with clients to meet their objectives by creating bespoke financial planning solutions.
Charlie has specific expertise in multi-asset class investing. He has spent his career building client portfolios using a broad range of asset classes, with a particular focus on mitigating risk. He has a passion for investing and always endeavours to achieve the best risk-adjusted returns for clients.
He currently heads up the research team at Saltus, having joined in 2016. He oversees the research, construction and monitoring of portfolios and sits on both the investment and asset allocation committee. Charlie is a CFA Charter-holder and became a partner in 2018.
Outside of the office, Charlie enjoys playing football and going sailing (where possible, having recently become a father). He is also a keen chef, who enjoys travelling for inspiration.
Charles has spent his career building client portfolios using a broad range of asset classes, with a particular focus on mitigating risk.
Clive likes to consider his work with clients as getting them ‘financially fit' to achieve their ambitions. He has significant experience in helping individuals to prepare for retirement, and enjoys determining when and how they can attain financial freedom. To achieve this, he focuses on careful tax planning, consolidation, and correct asset allocation.
Clive has over 35 years of industry experience assisting with the creation of the Scottish Widow's High Net Worth team, Prudential's financial planning arm and Lorica Wealth Management, which formed part of a successful merger with Saltus in 2018. He also sits on Saltus's investment committee to support the business in the construction of our portfolios.
When he's not spending time with clients, you'll probably find Clive on the golf course or watching rugby from the side-lines.
Clive has significant experience in helping individuals to prepare for retirement and enjoys determining when and how they can ultimately attain financial freedom.
Daniel joined Saltus in April 2020 as Chief Financial Officer to lead the group's finance function. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England & Wales, Daniel works with internal stakeholders to produce the ongoing group financial management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. He has responsibility for cashflow monitoring as well as capital compliance and relationships with our external funding partners.
As part of the Mergers & Acquisitions team, Daniel supports the commercial, financial and legal due diligence workstreams and has particular expertise in financial modelling and merger accounting. Daniel is also the Chair of the Saltus Risk Committee and has various directorships and appointments across the group subsidiary companies.
After obtaining his 1 st Class Masters in Aerospace Engineering in 2005, Daniel joined Smith & Williamson in 2007, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2010. Since then, he has worked in various roles and sectors providing him with wide ranging commercial and strategic experience.
Outside of Saltus, Dan is a proud father of two daughters, and enjoys various sports including squash and cycling. He is also Chair of Governors at the local primary school.
- Chartered Financial Planner
Darren specialises in Lifestyle planning, using in-depth cashflow modelling to help his clients achieve their financial and personal goals. Darren advises clients in numerous contexts but he has particular expertise in pension and retirement planning. Pension consolidation, lifetime allowance issues and tax-efficient planning are all areas that Darren excels in.
Darren is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds the Advanced Qualifications for Pensions, Investments and Tax and Trusts. He became a valuable member of the Saltus team in early 2021 through a merger with Consilia Wealth Management.
Other than spending time with his family, his main passion is running, which is currently taking up most of his spare time.
Darren specialises in Lifestyle planning, using in-depth cashflow modelling to help his clients achieve their financial and personal goals.
David advises clients on a wide range of planning requirements including pensions, investments, tax, and insurance. Over a distinguished career, he has specialised in supporting senior executives with their retirement planning. David regularly helps his clients to reduce the levels of tax they pay, consolidate in preparation for retirement and understand complex employer pensions schemes.
David has spent almost 40 years as an adviser and is widely recognised within the industry. He began his career with HSBC before spending 16 years advising both corporate and personal clients at Barclays. He joined Lorica in 2003 with a focus on the workplace pensions market before joining Saltus following a successful merger in 2018.
In addition to supporting his clients, David is a keen mathematician (test him!) and enjoys spending time with his family when he isn't out on the golf course.
Over a distinguished career, David has specialised in supporting senior executives with their retirement planning.
DAVID COOKE - Chief Investment Officer
David is our Chief Investment Officer and sits on the investment management and asset allocation committees.
David joined Saltus in 2010. He started his career at Goldman Sachs and over the 12 years up to 2003, David worked in the UK, European and latterly Global Equities, holding the position of Executive Director. Between leaving Goldman Sachs and joining Saltus, David also worked as a Managing Director at DrKW investment bank and at CQS, one of London's most successful hedge funds.
David has an MA in Engineering, Economics and Management Science from Lincoln College, Oxford University.
Before joining Saltus, David held various senior positions in investment banking and the institutional asset management world.
David specialises in providing clients with clear and comprehensive solutions to meet their financial objectives. He helps clients of all types navigate the complexities of pensions, tax rules and investment strategies in preparation for a successful retirement. However, he has significant experience in aiding those within the oil and gas, aviation and legal sectors and is considered a foremost expert on corporate pension arrangements in these areas. In addition, David takes a keen interest in advising individuals in the professional sports arena having played golf professionally in the early 2000s.
He has been qualified as an adviser for over 12 years and holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. He entered the financial services industry in 2005 originally working for Lorica and later moving to AON in 2014. Having joined Saltus in 2018 as a partner, David is now a valuable member of the Saltus team.
In addition to supporting his clients, David enjoys spending time with his young family as well as giving us all a run for our money on the golf course!

David is a passionate advocate of the importance of sound financial planning to help clients preserve wealth and achieve their financial goals. His clients have a wide range of needs, but he has a strong focus on retirement planning and intergenerational financial arrangements.
His career in finance began as an investment manager with Barings in London and Hong Kong where he managed UK pension funds and was a specialist in global emerging markets. This was followed by 20 years in investment banking, serving global and UK institutions. David joined Saltus as a partner in 2018 and holds a diploma in financial planning.
David is married with four children and lives in Suffolk. Outside of work he enjoys running, sailing, maintaining his vegetable garden and has a keen interest in wine.
David's clients have a wide range of needs, but he has a strong focus on retirement planning and intergenerational financial arrangements.
Gia joined Saltus in April 2022 and heads up the Personal Advice Desk, having previously worked in the industry for the past 11 years providing operational support at Director level and dealing with all aspects of running a small financial advisory practice based in London.
She is passionate about providing a high standard of service to clients while building long lasting relationships.
Gia is about to complete her Diploma in regulated financial planning which will enable her to advise on pensions, savings and investments. When not studying, Gia enjoys cooking predominantly Italian cuisine, where she originates from, and spending quality time with her family and friends over a glass of ‘vino'.
Gia is passionate about providing a high standard of service to clients while building long lasting relationships.
Guy works closely with his clients to meet their financial objectives. He helps clients of all types navigate the complexities of pensions, tax rules and investment strategies in preparation for a successful retirement. He primarily supports HNW individuals and senior executives with their tax planning and investment solutions. However, he also specialises in working with clients going through divorce by helping them reach financial settlements that align with their changing needs.
Guy joined Fish Financial in 2017 after obtaining a degree in Economics & Finance and is now a valuable member of the Saltus team following a successful merger. He holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is working towards achieving chartered status with the CII.
Outside of work, Guy has a keen interest in a variety of sports including rugby, football and tennis. He also enjoys socialising over a beer or two with friends and getting down to the West Country at weekend.

Harriet specialises in pensions, tax and IHT planning, as well as supporting staff in studying for their professional exams. Prior to Paraplanning, Harriet worked for a Wrap Platform and IHT product provider.
Harriet has 11 years of industry experience and joined Saltus in 2018, following the successful merger of Saltus and Lorica. She is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Additionally, Harriet is currently studying for her STEP Diploma and hopes to specialise further in Trust and Wills planning.
In her spare time, Harriet likes kickboxing and swimming. She is also a keen quizzer and has competed on The Chase, Impossible and The Boss. You can also look forward to Harriet's appearance on Eggheads in 2021.
Harriet specialises in pensions, tax and IHT planning, as well as supporting staff in studying for their professional exams.
- Chartered Financial Planner
Hester joined Saltus in 2021, with 7 years' experience in Wealth Management, during which she has assisted private clients with their retirement, investment and tax planning. She particularly enjoys helping clients to understand their pensions and investments, and planning for their retirement and other life goals.
Hester is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, as well as being an alumnus of the University of Warwick, holding a BA Hons degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).
In her spare time, Hester enjoys swimming, ice skating, and spending time outdoors.
Hester enjoys helping clients to understand their pensions and investments, and planning for their retirement and other life goals.
- Chairman of Fauna & Flora International
Hugo is Chairman of Fauna & Flora International. The world's oldest international conservation charity. He was previously chairman of Interactive Investor and CEO of the TMF Group. Earlier in his career, Hugo was a Partner at Goldman Sachs and held a variety of roles including co-heading the equity franchise in Europe, Japan and Global COO of the equity division.
Ian advises high net worth individuals and business owners on all financial planning matters with a focus on tax-efficient investments, along with inheritance and estate planning.
After qualifying as an Accountant and spending 4 years in the industry, Ian enjoyed a 14-year career with ANZ Banking Group, including Executive and Country Head roles in the Middle East, Pakistan, Indonesia and Australasia. He established the IFA practice, Fish Financial in 2007 before merging the firm with Saltus in 2021.
Not one to sit still, Ian has also undertaken entrepreneurial ventures as diverse as composite chassis for the electric vehicle (EV) market, and a new winter sports product "snow surfboard".
A reluctantly retired football-vet, Ian is a keen golfer and Hankley Common Golf Club member
Ian advises on all financial planning matters with a focus on tax-efficient investments and inheritance and estate planning.
Jack works with individuals and families to provide pensions and investment advice in line with their needs and objectives. Jack has a focus on helping both employers and employees to navigate complex pension schemes. He also brings particular expertise in using appropriate tax vehicles to help those accumulating wealth, as well as structuring assets for individuals looking to draw a tax-efficient income in retirement.
Jack joined Saltus in 2017 and has considerable experience having worked in the industry for almost 10 years. He has a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is currently working towards his chartered status.
In his spare time, Jack is a keen base guitarist and travels the UK in his self-renovated VW camper van.
Jack has a focus on helping both employers and employees to navigate complex pension schemes.

Jamie is an Investment Manager and has vast experience in investing across all asset classes, having also previously run investment research functions. He has experience in managing portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and corporates. Jamie is also Managing Director of our sister company Lorica Workplace.
Jamie has previously been named one of the Top 30 Wealth Managers Under 30 in the UK. He graduated with a First Class BA Economics degree and Masters in Finance with Distinction, from the University of Leeds.
Jamie is a member of the Investment Committee with responsibility for over £1bn.
Jeremy helps his clients meet their financial objectives by focusing on effective tax planning and sound investment solutions. He has a hands-on approach and focuses on building long-term, trusted relationships. This allows his clients to leave their financial planning to him and concentrate on the things they most enjoy in life. Whilst he has a passion for retirement planning, he helps his client base prepare for a wide range of milestones in their lifetime.
Jeremy has spent over 35 years as a prominent member of the industry. He began his career in accountancy before spending 22 years with Standard Life working with both corporate and personal clients. He joined Lorica in 2006 establishing their wealth management division before joining Saltus following a successful merger in 2018.
In addition to supporting his clients, Jeremy has always been involved in his local Rugby club. He has both played and coached in days gone by but now enjoys watching his son play at the weekends. You might also spot him tramping through the countryside with his three flat coated retrievers!
Jeremy has a hands-on approach, which allows his clients to leave their financial planning to him and concentrate on the things they most enjoy in life.
Jon is Managing Partner of Saltus. He is passionate about creating a culture where everyone is proud to work, and a vision for the business which challenges the norms of what clients can expect from their asset manager or wealth manager.
Before founding Saltus in 2004, Jon held various senior roles in the institutional asset management world. These included being Managing Director of Lehman Brothers, where he was co-head of the European mezzanine credit fund, a Partner of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity managing a 1.5 billion private equity buy-out fund, and before that a UK equities fund manager at Schroders.
Jon has an MA in Classics and Modern Languages from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD. He has held a number of non-executive roles. He is currently Chairman of the Westbridge Private Equity Supervisory Board. He was previously a Trustee of the charities Book Aid International and of Missing People, where he was also chair of the Development Board.
He has three children in their late teens and early twenties and enjoys running and tennis to stay fit.

Jordan is passionate about helping his clients to put the necessary plans in place to achieve their long-term financial objectives and aspirations.
He prides himself on trying to make complex planning simple. He delivers his advice in an engaging and pragmatic format so that clients can concentrate on the bigger picture whilst he takes care of the details. Jordan provides a range of investment and tax planning advice to clients from all walks of life but has particular expertise in supporting HNW individuals and senior executives with complex planning needs. He enjoys helping clients to build their wealth, draw on it sustainably in their retirement and pass it on to the next generation.
Jordan started work in the Wealth Management industry a short while after completing his BSc (Hons) in Business Studies. He is qualified to the highest level possible as a Chartered Fellow of the CISI as well as holding various other financial planning qualifications. Jordan joined Saltus as part of a merger with NSL Wealth Management where he was a director and had worked for 13 years.
Jordan lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife, daughter and unruly dog! Outside of work, he enjoys training at his local gym, playing golf and going on long walks with his family.

Jordan is passionate about financial education and has spoken at national conferences on the subject. He has specific expertise in helping people ‘re-think' retirement, as well as assisting business owners preparing for sale. He regularly hosts workshops on both topics for numerous conglomerates and global CEO networks. When he isn't presenting, Jordan is often the first point of contact for prospective clients at Saltus to help determine what type of advice they may require and which of the team is most suited to their needs.
Jordan has been working in the financial services industry for almost 10 years, working at Seven Investment Management prior to joining Saltus in 2020 to focus on the group's growth strategy. He also has a BA in History from the University of York.
When he isn't discussing pensions and compounding at the dinner table, he enjoys running, country pursuits, spending time with his family and walking his dog Nigel.
Jordan has specific expertise in helping people ‘re-think' retirement, as well as assisting business owners preparing for sale.
Kay is a qualified and experienced finance and investment professional providing holistic financial planning advice and wealth management solutions to individuals, families, and businesses.
Clients are firmly at the heart of everything Kay does, and her passion is to help clients take control of their personal finances. This is frequently in the 5 to 10 years prior to retirement, ensuring that clients are in the best position possible when considering longer term cash flow management and estate planning.
Kay joined Saltus in 2015 as an FCA regulated financial planner, prior to which she enjoyed a 30-year career with firms such as Barings Asset Management and JP Morgan.
Kay lives by the coast and, outside of work, she enjoys time with family, long walks with the dogs on the beach, and all aspects of horticulture and conservation.
Clients are firmly at the heart of everything Kay does, and her passion is to help clients take control of their personal finances.
Lawrence provides a range of pension and investment advice. Whilst Lawrence supports individuals in numerous contexts, he primarily supports HNW individuals and senior executives with their retirement planning and complex tax arrangements. He is also highly experienced at providing specialist advice for Court of Protection cases and personal injury awards.
To meet his client's objectives, Lawrence focuses on creating financial strategies that are flexible and sensitive to changes in circumstances. He works closely with clients to provide investment and planning advice to ensure their income and capital needs are met throughout their lifetime. A keen advocate of cashflow modelling, Lawrence believes it is essential to presenting a clear financial strategy.
Lawrence obtained a BA in Business and Economics and has been in the financial services industry for almost 10 years. He joined Saltus in 2016 following a successful merger with Andrew Hammond Brady.
Lawrence specialises in retirement planning, complex Court of Protection cases and personal injury awards.
Bringing a wide range of business and life experience to his advisory role, Mark provides bespoke investment and retirement planning advice to individual/family clients.
A qualified adviser since 2007, Mark gained valuable experience at some of the largest wealth management companies in the UK, originally qualifying as a stockbroker with a City investment firm and latterly moving into an advisory role with Barclays Wealth. In 2014 Mark was appointed a Director at Fish Financial, then joined the Saltus team as a Partner in 2021 following a successful merger.
Providing his clients with innovative wealth management strategies. Mark aims to inspire and help his clients to achieve financial independence. He does this through a wealth of professional and life experience.
Outside of work Mark is ever trying to improve his golf handicap, and he enjoys spending time in the kitchen, where he models his culinary style of cooking on Keith Floyd.
What Mark loves the most is helping clients to see what's possible, showing them how they can get there and then supporting them along the way.
Mary is our Head of Dealing.
Mary joined Saltus in 2006 and has over 20 years of trading and execution experience in the fund management industry. Prior to joining Saltus, she oversaw operations for Phylon, a London-based hedge fund and before that, she was an investment administrator both at GAM and at Jupiter Asset Management, with responsibility for trade execution and settlement.
Outside of fund management, Mary likes to meet up with friends, watch rugby and on occasion can be seen placing a bet at the horse races.
Mary has a BA in Mathematics and Sociology from University College Cork.
Mary has over a decade of trading and execution experience in the fund management industry.
Megan provides specialist advice to private clients on pensions and investments, as well as estate and tax planning. She works in partnership with her clients to ensure she fully understands their individual circumstances and aims to build long term relationships to ensure their goals are met both now and in the future.
Megan has particular expertise in supporting business owners, HNW individuals and senior executives with their retirement planning and complex tax arrangements. She also assists clients going through divorce, helping them reach financial settlements that are right for their needs and objectives.
After obtaining a Masters in Banking and Finance, Megan joined Saltus in 2015. Megan attained the highest level of qualification possible when she achieved chartered status and is a member of Resolution. She is also highly recognised in the industry having been selected as Citywealth's Women of the Year 2022. When she is not advising her clients, Megan enjoys travel, taking part in regular beach cleans and practicing yoga.
Megan has particular expertise in assisting clients going through divorce, helping them reach financial settlements that are right for their needs and objectives.
Mike advises clients on portfolios within a range of vehicles including trusts, pensions, and corporate structures. He supports many ultra-high net worth families with their long-term investment strategies, as he has significant expertise in multi-generational planning and assisting those where capital protection is paramount.
He regularly helps clients understand how to invest their money to meet challenging objectives, providing significant insight into global investing and active management. He is also often called upon when money is looked after by multiple providers to help trustees consider how they might achieve the best overall outcome. Mike sits on Saltus's investment committee to support the business in the construction of our portfolios.
Michael works with numerous clients who hold their assets both on and offshore, and consequently enjoys a strong relationship with a focused group of clients and advisers in the Channel Islands as well as the UK.
Mike has been widely recognised in the industry having been selected as one of Citywire's Top 30 under 30 and a runner up in the Spears Young Turk award. He brings a wealth of experience having advised clients for almost 15 years, working as a Director at Smith and Williamson and a partner at 7IM before joining Saltus in 2017.
Mike supports many ultra-high net worth families with their long-term investment strategies, as he has significant expertise in multi-generational planning and assisting those where capital protection is paramount.

Michelle specialises in helping individuals achieve their financial goals and aspirations (large or small). Michelle believes that cash flow planning is applicable for all clients as it helps them make informed financial decisions and provides peace of mind. She thoroughly enjoys supporting clients with their retirement planning, whilst also ensuring that they can leave more to their family and less to the Inland Revenue. Michelle works with clients from all walks of life but has a particular focus on supporting business owners with growing their wealth in a tax-efficient manner.
Michelle is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. This is their highest level of qualification and makes Michelle one of the most qualified financial planners in the U.K. She is a Chartered Financial Planner and previously founded Consilia in 2012 before merging the firm with Saltus in February 2021. She has worked in financial services for over 20 years and has a BA (Hons) in Economics from The University of Manchester.
Michelle lives in Hertfordshire and is kept busy by her husband and three children. Outside of work, she enjoys fine dining, keeping fit, travel and country walks.
Nick has always had a significant interest in personal finance and now passionately helps individuals achieve their financial goals. He helps his clients navigate the increasingly complex world of pensions, tax, investments, and retirement, to provide clarity and peace of mind. He has a passion for keeping abreast with global investment markets and uses his experience to help clients determine how to approach risk and return in the context of their needs.
Nick has over 35 years' experience in financial services, working for a variety of large investment banks, initially as a fund manager, and latterly as an institutional stockbroker advising some of the world's largest pension funds and asset managers. Nick holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Nick is married with four children and lives in Hampshire. He has a wide variety of interests including tennis, golf, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoys the occasional challenge, having sailed the Atlantic and ridden a bicycle from London to Sydney to raise money for good causes

Nigel is a private investor and Chairman of ITExact, a Global SaaS business focused on cloud asset management. He spent most of his career in financial services in Asia, holding various senior roles at CLSA Ltd and Merrill Lynch. Most recently, he was CEO of Financial Services at Block One, a blockchain specialist based in Hong Kong.
Nigel started his career as a fund manager at Mercury Asset Management.
Pete supports individuals in numerous contexts but his book of clients consists primarily of senior executives and entrepreneurs. He specialises in retirement planning and complex pension advice as well as tax-efficient structures and estate planning.
He is a first-class communicator and is highly experienced at cashflow modelling, which enables him to deliver insightful lifetime plans for clients. He strongly believes that helping clients envisage and stress test their financial plan is the key to helping them make informed financial decisions. Pete has worked in the industry for over 13 years and holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
When not studying for further industry qualifications, Pete enjoys travelling, deep-sea diving, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

Phil has a no-nonsense approach, always helping clients to focus on the bigger picture whilst he takes care of the details. He has a strong focus on managing wealth across families due to his empathetic nature and is known for his ability to provide imaginative, yet pragmatic, solutions. Consequently, Phil is regularly called upon to help business owners structure their affairs and often assists with complex pension arrangements and divorce cases.
Phil joined Saltus Investment Managers as a Partner in 2014 and was one of the founding members of Saltus Financial Planning.
He has almost 30 years of industry experience and now sits on Saltus's Management Committee as head of our Financial Planning team. Early in his career, he worked for two specialist pension companies and was then seconded to help establish distribution in the Channel Islands for an offshore investment firm. He later left the corporate world to establish and run his own firm for 13 years before joining Saltus. Philip holds the highest level of Financial Planning qualifications attainable as a Fellow of the CII, in addition to holding numerous Investment Management qualifications.
Philip is married with two children and lives in Hampshire. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and muddy mountain biking with his family!

Tim Hanford is Managing Director of J.C.Flowers & Co. Europe and a member of the firm's Management Committee. Prior to joining J.C. Flower & Co. in 2009, Tim was Co-Head of FPK Capital and, prior to that, Head of Private Equity at Dresdner Bank.
Tim's other experience includes serving as a Board Director of Schroders, where he was Head of Structured Finance. Tim serves on the Board of Directors of Castle Trust Bank, Inigo Insurance and Interactive Investor plc.
Toby has worked with Saltus for over 3 years helping clients to achieve a variety of financial goals by analysing and researching investment and pension solutions.
After obtaining a first-class degree in Banking and Finance, Toby joined Saltus in 2018 as a graduate trainee financial adviser and holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Toby is currently working towards achieving Chartered status.
Tom works within the Investment team, covering fixed income and bond research. He has a focus on more alternative and complex strategies, designed to mitigate risk whilst improving return. Alongside this, he manages the responsible investment philosophy and the integration of ‘ESG' criteria within portfolios.
Tom joined Saltus from Harpsden Wealth Management and has been part of our team for over four years. Prior to this, he obtained a BSc in Natural Sciences (Mathematics and Economics) from Durham University. He is working towards achieving the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
Outside of spreadsheets, Tom loves music of all forms, being a keen multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Asides from this, he enjoys carpentry and getting into a good book.

Warren is a retirement planning specialist, working closely with clients who would like greater clarity and support in setting and achieving their retirement goals. He believes in building close working relationships to ensure he is always mindful of a client's personal values and feelings towards their money. This provides the context for how he approaches helping them to draw income tax efficiently, consolidate schemes, invest their pot, and carry out estate planning.
Warren originally entered the financial services sector in 2008, qualifying as a financial adviser and stockbroker. He joined Saltus in 2018, following our successful merger with Lorica Wealth Management. Warren holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is working towards his Chartered Status.
In his spare time, Warren enjoys hiking and, since joining Saltus, he & his wife have summitted Snowdon (three times), Scafell Pike and Mount Etna, with Ben Nevis next on their list.
Warren believes in building close working relationships to ensure he is always mindful of a client's personal values and feelings towards their money.
