Aaron Perry

Aaron joined Saltus in October 2022 as part of our Business Development team. He has considerable experience in the financial services having worked in the industry since 2000 at companies including Standard Life, LEBC, BDO LLP and Flying Colours. Aaron thoroughly enjoys speaking to clients and helping them to understand what advice they may require in the context of their financial objectives. Away from work, Aaron is often found chauffeuring his two young children to their various clubs, herding his two small dogs around a field, or helping tidy a PE cupboard for his teacher wife. When he does have some time to himself, Aaron enjoys craft beer, football and most forms of motor racing. Aaron thoroughly enjoys speaking to clients and helping them with their goals and client journey.

Adam Long

Adam is passionate about developing long standing relationships with his clients. He advises entrepreneurs, professionals, trustees, and retirees in various stages of life, but they all work closely with Adam to understand how best to preserve or grow their wealth. Managing his clients' wealth typically involves much more than asset allocation. Adam spends time developing a deep understanding of what's important to his clients before investing their funds to help them achieve it. He also works closely with clients' lawyers and accountants to reach optimal outcomes and has regular discussions with younger family members to engage the next generation. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family, playing golf, and the occasional fitness challenge (marathon, Ironman triathlon). Adam is a CFA Charterholder, is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and has a degree in Economics. He advises entrepreneurs, professionals, trustees, and retirees, in various stages of life but they all work closely with Adam to understand how best to preserve or grow their wealth. Alex Pugh

Alex has experience partnering with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and families interested in intergenerational planning. She seeks first to understand her clients' aspirations and goals to gain a deep understanding of what they hope to achieve. With specialist experience in cash flow modelling, Alex then designs tailored plans with her clients' end goals in mind. Her knowledge of investments, pensions, estate planning and protection means she is well-versed in adapting plans over the course of her clients' lives. Alex has over 15 years' experience working in finance, working for top tier institutions JP Morgan and HSBC. She has achieved the gold standard Chartered status and has completed the Certificate in Financial Wellbeing. She firmly believes a well-structured financial plan has a positive correlation with one's overall happiness. In her spare time, you can find Alex walking, running, or socialising with family and friends. She is also a fan of losing herself in a book for the afternoon. Alistair Williamson

Alistair takes real pride in helping his clients to work out what they would ideally want for the rest of their lives and building close relationships to work together over the long term. Alistair believes that building a plan to show clients what their financial future might look like under various scenarios helps clients to take control of their financial decisions. This planning then helps to guide the way to the most appropriate investment solutions, so clients know their investments have been put together with their own financial goals and risk profile in mind. Alistair has extensive experience in helping clients improve their relationship with their wealth to maintain the lifestyle they want without having to worry unnecessarily about running out of money. Alistair holds the designation of chartered financial planner, which is the highest recognition an adviser can achieve and shows a high commitment to ongoing study and professionalism. Having graduated from the University of Leeds with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Management Studies in 2001, Alistair has worked in financial services for over 20 years. He holds the advanced qualification for pension specialists and advises clients on pensions and investments as well as estate and tax planning. When not boring anyone who will listen with all things financial planning, pension and investment Alistair enjoys; spending time with his family, playing guitar, travelling to the coast, occasional golf, and the odd game of chess.

Andrew Goodey

Andrew prides himself on advising with integrity and precision. He builds long-standing relationships with clients and empowers them to make informed financial decisions. By gaining a clear understanding of their needs and aspirations, Andrew can construct a holistic financial strategy for his clients that is underpinned by cash flow modelling. As a Chartered Financial Planner, Andrew has attained the highest level of qualification possible and has over 20 years of industry experience. He helps clients from all walks of life but has particular expertise in supporting HNW individuals and business owners with their retirement and estate planning. Outside of work, Andrew has a full home life with three horses, three dogs, and three children. In his limited spare time, he enjoys running and rugby.

Andrew Lock

Andrew has an extensive career in UK financial services, having performed senior roles in leading retail, investment and platform companies. In addition to this, he has experienced life working with a large compliance services provider and a regional financial planning firm. Andrew is a relationship manager for the Saltus Partnership Programme and will focus on helping clients understand how they can overcome the day-to-day obstacles and challenges of running a financial planning practice through the support offered by the programme. Andrew is committed to ensuring that partner firms and their clients enjoy an unrivalled service and experience.

Ashley Wise

Ashley joined Saltus at the beginning of 2021 as our Chief Technology Officer to instigate technological innovation across the firm. He has extensive hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of technologies, platforms and business domains. He Specialises in Front-to-Back IT systems across capital markets, private banking, asset management and corporate finance. Ashley has almost 20 years' experience in the asset management world having led technology teams as CTO at both Edmond de Rothschild and Finisterre Capital prior to joining Saltus. In his spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with his family discovering parks in and around London as he lives in the outer suburbs.

Brendan Jordan

Brendan provides specialist planning and tax advice to ensure that private clients are making full use of the tax efficient opportunities available to them. He ensures that his clients are comfortable with their investments and are ideally placed to achieve their goals and objectives. He feels that it is essential to obtain a full and comprehensive understanding of his client's circumstances and provide individual solutions in a concise and understandable manner. Initially starting in the accountancy industry, Brendan has been helping individuals with their financial affairs for over 35 years. A Chartered Financial Planner, Brendan has progressed throughout his career in financial services and has wide experience in helping individuals directly with their tax affairs and advising on complicated pensions transfers, as well as spending time in more technical roles supporting other advisers. Married with two grown up sons, Brendan enjoys following London Irish rugby club. His other interests include gardening, cycling and long walks with his wife and friends.

Bronek Masojada

Bronek joined Saltus in May 2023 as our Chairman. Previously he was Chief Executive of Hiscox, the specialist insurer. He is Chair of SiriusPoint and an Alderman of the City of London. He is also Chair of the East End Community Foundation which is dedicated to improving lives in the East End of London. Prior to Hiscox, Bronek worked at McKinsey advising on consumer goods, healthcare and manufacturing businesses.

Charles Ambler

Charlie has specific expertise in multi-asset class investing. He has spent his career building client portfolios using a broad range of asset classes, with a particular focus on mitigating risk. He has a passion for investing and always endeavours to achieve the best risk-adjusted returns for clients. He currently heads up the research team at Saltus, having joined in 2016. He oversees the research, construction and monitoring of portfolios and sits on both the investment and asset allocation committee. Charlie is a CFA Charter-holder and became a partner in 2018. Outside of the office, Charlie enjoys playing football and going sailing (where possible, having recently become a father). He is also a keen chef, who enjoys travelling for inspiration. Charles has spent his career building client portfolios using a broad range of asset classes, with a particular focus on mitigating risk.

Clara Buckley

Clara works with financial planners to help provide them with a seamless investment process for their clients. For the Saltus Partnership Programme, Clara is a relationship manager and helps partners develop a plan to not only provide security for their clients but to identify partners needs and help them in futureproofing their businesses. Clara is passionate about ensuring that both the partners and their clients' experience is one which is both high quality and enjoyable.

Clive Martin

Clive likes to consider his work with clients as getting them ‘financially fit' to achieve their ambitions. He has significant experience in helping individuals to prepare for retirement, and enjoys determining when and how they can attain financial freedom. To achieve this, he focuses on careful tax planning, consolidation, and correct asset allocation. Clive has over 35 years of industry experience assisting with the creation of the Scottish Widow's High Net Worth team, Prudential's financial planning arm and Lorica Wealth Management, which formed part of a successful merger with Saltus in 2018. He also sits on Saltus's investment committee to support the business in the construction of our portfolios. When he's not spending time with clients, you'll probably find Clive on the golf course or watching rugby from the side-lines. Clive has significant experience in helping individuals to prepare for retirement and enjoys determining when and how they can ultimately attain financial freedom.

Craig Harrison

Craig is an experienced adviser with over 20 years in the industry. He specialises in providing comprehensive advice on a range of subjects including retirement and estate planning and tax-efficient investing. His clients are typically high-net-worth individuals, business executives and entrepreneurs. Craig believes, most clients aspire to their own version of financial independence, and Craig enjoys working with his clients to help them achieve their own aims. To achieve this, he focuses on helping them to understand what their goals really are and then structures their affairs in a tax efficient manner and in such a way as to maximise their returns in pursuit of their aims. His is a Chartered Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and holds the Investment Management Certificate. He has also won several industry awards and in particular has been recognised by the ‘FT Adviser' publication, which awarded him the title of ‘Overall IFA of the year' and ‘Group Pensions Adviser of the year' on two separate occasions. Outside of work, having long since hung up his rugby boots, Craig keeps active by playing golf at his local club in South West London and venturing out on the occasional run.

Damien Rylett

Damien works with a broad range of clients but specialises in providing life-centred financial planning to small business owners, senior executives and professionals. As a qualified business coach and mentor, Damien is well placed to help his clients through the many transitions in life, be that retirement or exiting and selling a business. Ensuring families can identify, achieve and maintain their desired lifeystle without fear of running out of money has been Damien's passion for 25 years in the profession and he does this through meticulous, strategic planning to ensure that clients' capital and resources are totally aligned with what is important to them allowing them to live a happy and fulfilled life. Damien is a Chartered Financial Planner and founded the Chartered Financial Planning firm Brunel Capital Partners in 2011 which merged with Saltus in late 2022. Throughout his career, Damien has held roles at the Institute of Financial Planning and Personal Finance Society.

Dan Hiles

Dan joined Saltus in 2022 and feels privileged to be able to support his clients to live the lives they want and be part of many of their big life decisions. He works collaboratively with his clients to fully understand what and who is important in their lives, as well as their aspirations and fears. By building a comprehensive financial plan and using cashflow forecasting software, Dan is able to help his clients understand what it will take to be truly financially independent and to have peace of mind that they can live their lives without fear of running out of money or leaving behind too much. Dan began his career with Hargreaves Lansdown, where he gained a wealth of experience in numerous areas of financial services, with a particular interest in financial planning for individuals. After over 20 years in financial services, he is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, joining the ranks of those at the highest levels of qualification in our profession. He is also qualified with the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners. Outside of work, Dan relishes a busy and adventurous lifestyle. 10 years ago, he and his wife took an 18 month career break to travel around the world. They are now settled back in Bristol with three young children, with whom they love to travel and spend time in the great outdoors and are always thinking of the next opportunities for skiing, hiking, surfing and wakeboarding.

Darren Sunter

Darren specialises in Lifestyle planning, using in-depth cashflow modelling to help his clients achieve their financial and personal goals. Darren advises clients in numerous contexts but he has particular expertise in pension and retirement planning. Pension consolidation, lifetime allowance issues and tax-efficient planning are all areas that Darren excels in. Darren is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds the Advanced Qualifications for Pensions, Investments and Tax and Trusts. He became a valuable member of the Saltus team in early 2021 through a merger with Consilia Wealth Management. Other than spending time with his family, his main passion is running, which is currently taking up most of his spare time. Darren specialises in Lifestyle planning, using in-depth cashflow modelling to help his clients achieve their financial and personal goals.

David Buchan

David has built a reputation on assisting private and corporate clients on all aspects of their financial planning goals and objectives. David has particular expertise in working with business owners and company directors, paying particular attention to making sure they and their staff are adequately protected against all eventualities and maximising the tax efficiency of their income and profit extraction. He enjoys helping his clients in these areas in order to prepare them for either retirement or a business sale and determining when and how they can attain financial freedom. In his spare time, David enjoys the competition of league badminton, playing a social game of golf, cycling, spending time with his family and walking his dog, Bear.

David Burton

David advises clients on a wide range of planning requirements including pensions, investments, tax, and insurance. Over a distinguished career, he has specialised in supporting senior executives with their retirement planning. David regularly helps his clients to reduce the levels of tax they pay, consolidate in preparation for retirement and understand complex employer pensions schemes. David has spent almost 40 years as an adviser and is widely recognised within the industry. He began his career with HSBC before spending 16 years advising both corporate and personal clients at Barclays. He joined Lorica in 2003 with a focus on the workplace pensions market before joining Saltus following a successful merger in 2018. In addition to supporting his clients, David is a keen mathematician (test him!) and enjoys spending time with his family when he isn't out on the golf course. Over a distinguished career, David has specialised in supporting senior executives with their retirement planning.

David Cooke - Chief Investment Officer

David is our Chief Investment Officer and sits on the investment management and asset allocation committees. David joined Saltus in 2010. He started his career at Goldman Sachs and over the 12 years up to 2003, David worked in the UK, European and latterly Global Equities, holding the position of Executive Director. Between leaving Goldman Sachs and joining Saltus, David also worked as a Managing Director at DrKW investment bank and at CQS, one of London's most successful hedge funds. David has an MA in Engineering, Economics and Management Science from Lincoln College, Oxford University. Before joining Saltus, David held various senior positions in investment banking and the institutional asset management world.

David Norton

David specialises in providing clients with clear and comprehensive solutions to meet their financial objectives. He helps clients of all types navigate the complexities of pensions, tax rules and investment strategies in preparation for a successful retirement. However, he has significant experience in aiding those within the oil and gas, aviation and legal sectors and is considered a foremost expert on corporate pension arrangements in these areas. In addition, David takes a keen interest in advising individuals in the professional sports arena having played golf professionally in the early 2000s. He has been qualified as an adviser for over 12 years and holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. He entered the financial services industry in 2005 originally working for Lorica and later moving to AON in 2014. Having joined Saltus in 2018 as a partner, David is now a valuable member of the Saltus team. In addition to supporting his clients, David enjoys spending time with his young family as well as giving us all a run for our money on the golf course! David has significant experience in aiding those within the oil and gas, aviation and legal sectors and is considered a foremost expert on corporate pension arrangements in these areas.

Dr Michael Peacey

Dr Mike Peacey is a senior lecturer in economics at the University of Bristol. He was previously an associate professor at Northeastern University and, prior to that, taught at the University of Bath. He has a PhD in game theory, an MSc in economics, and a BSc in Mathematics. He has published in academic journals across several areas, ranging from scientific peer review to pensions policy, and is currently working on a Royal Society project about misinformation. He has previously been involved in government regulation of higher education and has also undertaken a variety of consultancy projects - most notably as the auction theory consultant for Sky Plc during the £30bn takeover auction in 2018.

Gia Powell

Gia joined Saltus in April 2022 and heads up the Personal Advice Desk, having previously worked in the industry for the past 11 years providing operational support at Director level and dealing with all aspects of running a small financial advisory practice based in London. She is passionate about providing a high standard service to clients while building long lasting relationships. Gia holds a CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. In her spare time, Gia enjoys cooking predominantly Italian cuisine, where she originates from, and spending quality time with her family and friends over a glass of ‘vino'. Gia is passionate about providing a high standard of service to clients while building long lasting relationships.

Gianpaolo Mantini

Gianpaolo (‘GP' to most) works differently to much of the industry. Initial conversations deliberately try to avoid all matters financial. He is far more interested in the aspects of your life that make up who you, and your family are, and importantly, how you'd like your future to look. Ultimately, he works with you to help understand and plan how your specific aspirations can be better aligned with your finances. This allows your planning and decisions then made with greater clarity. Gianpaolo was a founding member of the Institute for Financial Wellbeing and was in the first cohort to attain the Certificate in Financial Wellbeing. He uses these insights when providing strategic, reality-focused advice. He is particularly attuned to the needs of successful executives and business owners - especially at life's key transitions. Interactive cashflow modelling is used to help bring context to your decision-making process and bring to life your specific aspirations during your future life stages. GP has worked in financial services since 2001 and became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2008. He founded Higgins Fairbairn Advisory LLP, one of fewer than 300 Chartered Financial Planning firms, in 2010 before merging with Saltus in May 2022. Outside work, GP spends much of his spare time with his wife Aoife and their two children in rural Bedfordshire with their dopey chocolate lab. He is a youth rugby coach at Ampthill RUFC as well as being a partner in the kids' taxi service. Guy Prysor-Jones

Guy works closely with his clients to meet their financial objectives. He helps clients of all types navigate the complexities of pensions, tax rules and investment strategies in preparation for a successful retirement. He primarily supports HNW individuals and senior executives with their tax planning and investment solutions. However, he also specialises in working with clients going through divorce by helping them reach financial settlements that align with their changing needs. Guy joined Fish Financial in 2017 after obtaining a degree in Economics & Finance and is now a valuable member of the Saltus team following a successful merger. He holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is working towards achieving chartered status with the CII. Outside of work, Guy has a keen interest in a variety of sports including rugby, football and tennis. He also enjoys socialising over a beer or two with friends and getting down to the West Country at weekend. Guy helps clients of all types navigate the complexities of pensions, tax rules and investment strategies in preparation for a successful retirement

Hester Redvers Harris

Hester joined Saltus in 2021, with 7 years' experience in Wealth Management, during which she has assisted private clients with their retirement, investment and tax planning. She particularly enjoys helping clients to understand their pensions and investments, and planning for their retirement and other life goals. Hester is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, as well as being an alumnus of the University of Warwick, holding a BA Hons degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). In her spare time, Hester enjoys swimming, ice skating, and spending time outdoors. Hester enjoys helping clients to understand their pensions and investments, and planning for their retirement and other life goals.

Hugo Van Vredenburch

Hugo is Chairman of Fauna & Flora International. The world's oldest international conservation charity. He was previously chairman of Interactive Investor and CEO of the TMF Group. Earlier in his career, Hugo was a Partner at Goldman Sachs and held a variety of roles including co-heading the equity franchise in Europe, Japan and Global COO of the equity division.

Ian Colley

Ian advises high net worth individuals and business owners on all financial planning matters with a focus on tax-efficient investments, along with inheritance and estate planning. After qualifying as an Accountant and spending 4 years in the industry, Ian enjoyed a 14-year career with ANZ Banking Group, including Executive and Country Head roles in the Middle East, Pakistan, Indonesia and Australasia. He established the IFA practice, Fish Financial in 2007 before merging the firm with Saltus in 2021. Not one to sit still, Ian has also undertaken entrepreneurial ventures as diverse as composite chassis for the electric vehicle (EV) market, and a new winter sports product "snow surfboard". A reluctantly retired football-vet, Ian is a keen golfer and Hankley Common Golf Club member Ian advises on all financial planning matters with a focus on tax-efficient investments and inheritance and estate planning.

Ivan Lintner

Ivan's role as your financial planner is to take a holistic view of your wealth and, with a personalised approach, help you to make smarter decisions with your finances. After listening to you and understanding what your needs and goals are, he will put together a plan to tailor the management of your wealth to your own individual tax situation and your unique personal circumstances. We know that life changes as time goes on, and Ivan is adept at being able to help you structure your assets in anticipation of specific life events, such as retirement, selling a business, protecting your family, passing on wealth to the next generation or minimising inheritance tax, for example. Ivan has been a financial planner for 7 years, having previously worked as an insurance broker in the Lloyds of London market. He has achieved ‘Top Rated Adviser' status on the client review website VouchedFor and has made it into the ‘Top Rated Adviser Guide' featured in The Times newspaper for the last 4 years. Ivan has a BA (Hons) degree in French and has previously lived and worked in Paris and Biarritz for a number of years. He currently lives with his family in Somerset and in his spare time coaches his son's U7 football team, enjoys golfing, watching Bath Rugby and surfing.

Jack Munday

Jack works with individuals and families to provide pensions and investment advice in line with their needs and objectives. Jack has a focus on helping both employers and employees to navigate complex pension schemes. He also brings particular expertise in using appropriate tax vehicles to help those accumulating wealth, as well as structuring assets for individuals looking to draw a tax-efficient income in retirement. Jack joined Saltus in 2017 and has considerable experience having worked in the industry for almost 10 years. He is also one of the most qualified planners in the UK, having achieved chartered status in 2022. In his spare time, Jack is a keen bass guitarist and travels the country in his self-renovated VW camper van. Jack has a focus on helping both employers and employees to navigate complex pension schemes.

Jamie Havard

The simplest way to describe what Jamie does is acting as his clients' financial GP; Jamie's area of expertise is building personalised financial plans to meet the key life objectives of his clients, reviewing and managing these plans with sound advice, and to support and guide his clients through life's trials and tribulations, all whilst building long-term relationships based on trust. Jamie joined Brunel Capital Partners in 2019 from the Office for National Statistics, where he worked as a Statistician analysing Economic Trade Statistics before deciding on a career as a financial planner. His main motivation for becoming a financial planner was to be able to spend more time face-to-face with clients, applying his technical knowledge and eye for detail for the financial wellbeing of his clients, and he hasn't looked back since. In his spare time, Jamie can be found belting around the Southwest on his bike with his partner Lizzie, cobbling together new recipes at his home in Bath with their neurotic cat Tiswas, or clocking up the miles rowing on the Avon.

Jamie Philip

Jamie has vast experience of mergers and acquisitions in the financial planning and investment management sphere. He has a thorough understanding of the barriers faced by financial planning business owners when looking to manage the growth and sale of their businesses, and he is well-versed in navigating the best way to overcome these. Jamie works with partners in the Saltus Partnership Programme to identify the right plan and supporting services for each individual partner, their business, their colleagues and their clients. Jamie is an Investment Manager and has vast experience in investing across all asset classes, having also previously run investment research functions. He has experience in managing portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and corporates. Jamie is also Managing Director of our sister company Lorica Workplace. Jamie has previously been named one of the Top 30 Wealth Managers Under 30 in the UK. He graduated with a First Class BA Economics degree and Masters in Finance with Distinction, from the University of Leeds. Jamie is a member of the Investment Committee with responsibility for over £1bn.

Jason Edwards - Chief Compliance Officer

Jason is the Chief Compliance Officer at Saltus. Having been an adviser for 15 years before moving into compliance and risk, Jason is committed to helping firms deliver the best outcomes for their clients and to act with honesty and integrity. With more than 25 years' experience in financial services, Jason has worked with advice firms, asset and discretionary fund managers, and many of the financial services regulators, both within the UK and overseas. As CCO, Jason looks after all aspects of compliance and risk, in order to ensure Saltus continually delivers the best outcomes to its clients. Away from work Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and is both a keen Welsh and Gloucester rugby supporter, often resulting in his grumpy disposition during the 6 Nations each Spring.

Jon Macintosh - CEO

Jon is Managing Partner of Saltus. He is passionate about creating a culture where everyone is proud to work, and a vision for the business which challenges the norms of what clients can expect from their asset manager or wealth manager. Before founding Saltus in 2004, Jon held various senior roles in the institutional asset management world. These included being Managing Director of Lehman Brothers, where he was co-head of the European mezzanine credit fund, Managing Director of Deutsche Bank, a Partner of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity managing a 1.5 billion private equity buy-out fund, and before that a UK equities fund manager at Schroders. Jon has an MA in Classics and Modern Languages from Oxford University, an MBA from INSEAD and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. He has held a number of non-executive roles. He is currently Chairman of the Westbridge Private Equity Supervisory Board. He was previously a Trustee of the charities Book Aid International and of Missing People, where he was also chair of the Development Board. He has three children in their late teens and early twenties and enjoys running and tennis to stay fit.
