Aimee Brown

Job Titles:
  • Principal Consultant
No one could have missed when Aimee started at Oyster in 2019. Bursting onto the scene with a laugh that reverberates around the office, boundless levels of enthusiasm, and sheer force of will, Aimee is definitely not a shrinking violet. What makes Aimee good at her job? Aimee ultimately wants to be able to enjoy the finer things in life without having to double-check her bank account, and she's well-aware that to get there is going to require hard work. A lot of hard work. Luckily that doesn't phase Aimee at all. She's known across the Office Support industry for being the best in the business, and she has always got time and attention to give her contractors whenever they need her. She's a hurricane of activity, and there's never a dull moment. Where is Aimee going after work? To bottomless brunch, nails, eyelashes and brows freshly done. Aimee claims to like a quiet night in with a face mask and a glass of rosé, but literally anyone who knows Aimee knows for a fact she doesn't know the meaning of a quiet night in.

Ali Wibroe

Job Titles:
  • Senior Manager
Ali started her Recruitment career at Oyster, and now just nearly six years down the line, she heads up our entire Property and Surveying temp team. That, in a nutshell, encapsulates Ali's skill, ambition, and desire to excel. But it takes more than that to be a great manager. Ali's caring, open-minded, and loyal personality makes her popular, not just across her team, but the whole company. Plus, she's a laugh on a night out. What makes Ali good at her job? When Ali says she'll do something, you'd better believe she'll do it. No empty promises from this recruiter - Ali will work tirelessly to see things through, and she'll try her utmost to do the best she can for both her clients and candidates. And considering she's been consistently one of the highest billers at Oyster, it's fair to say it's a tactic that pays off. Where is Ali going after work? Honestly, where is Ali not going after work? One glance at her Instagram story will leave you exhausted; she has the social battery of five people squished into one. I don't want to bet on it, but I'm about 85% sure she's been to every restaurant in London. One of Ali's ambitions is to go to as many countries as possible, so if there's anywhere she'd like to be after work, it would heading to the airport to jet off on holiday.

Aminah Hamzaoui

Job Titles:
  • Senior Consultant
Aminah used to work in the glamorous world of fashion before joining Oyster in 2019 and moving into the much more glamorous world of Property recruitment. Her main ambition? To get reasonably rich as quickly as possible and then enjoy a life of leisure. And considering how quickly she established herself as the go-to recruiter in Environmental Health, it's an achievable dream. What makes Aminah good at her job? Her sheer persistence. That and her irresistible Yorkshire accent (who can say no to those dulcet tones?). Aminah is never going to beat around the bush or give you wishy-washy non-answers. She'll be straight up with you always and isn't afraid to put the graft in to get results, which is why her clients and candidates trust her implicitly. Where is Aminah going after work? To dig out her cookbooks and create elaborate vegetable-based feasts. Aminah's favourite time of the day is dinnertime, when she gets to end the day cooking up something tasty. She did maintain she was a vegetarian for 2 years before scandalously being photographed eating chicken at a party, so looks like chicken is back on the menu.

Andy Chan

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
Since starting in Oyster's Environmental Health team in 2022, Andy has been working tirelessly to establish himself in the market and start growing his network of candidates and build relationships. It's a bit of a deviation from his previous career as a professional swimmer in Hong Kong, but he's determined to keep his head above water in his new role (I know it's a weak joke but it's the best I can do off the cuff). What makes Andy good at his job? Andy is hardworking and driven. He sees himself forging a successful career in recruitment long term, and that means putting the graft in now to see the benefits later down the line. He's caring, interested in getting to know his candidates, and willing to learn. Where is Andy going after work? Back into the pool to side-line as a swimming coach and keep up his impressive swimming skills. That or he'll be turning his hand to climbing, cycling, or cooking.

And in recruitment, being able to roll with the punches is crucial. Where is Anthony going after work? Ideally playing football. He likes to either watch or play at least two times a week. His active hobbies might be why he's managed to break his right arm four times!

Anthony Towse

Job Titles:
  • Principal Consultant
Having walked through Oyster's doors in 2018, with absolutely zero recruitment knowledge, who would have known that in a few short years, Anthony would be one of Oyster's most accomplished recruiters? A genuinely considerate, friendly, and generous person (not to mention, in his own words, one of the most underrated men in London), the Oyster team wouldn't be the same without him. What makes Anthony good at his job? Probably the fact that there is no one in the industry that Anthony doesn't know. And not only does he know everyone, but he can probably even remember what football team they support. He knows his market inside and out, and that means he likely knows what you need better than you even know yourself. That, and his absolutely tireless work ethic. Where is Anthony going after work? To the pub to watch football. Or up to Liverpool to see his Gran. Anthony likes to claim his wild days are behind him, and his ideal evening is making a nice dinner - according to him, his carbonara is top 1% in London - watching a bit of Disney +, before a 9pm bedtime. Yet to see evidence of this.

Arthur brings energy and passion to everything he does and is constantly on the lookout for his next project. Arthur's creative mind, combined with his 6 years previous experience as a videographer, makes him an essential part of the marketing team and Oyster family at large. You'll likely find Arthur on some sort of an adventure, whether that be a nice drive to the seaside to do a bit of surfing, or spontaneously deciding to run a half marathon… just for fun! When he's not exploring new horizons and finding new subjects to capture, you might find him having a The Lord of the Rings marathon, his favourite movies!

Austin Gershon

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
Austin studied Film at uni, and after graduating went on to pursue his dreams of video-editing. And very quickly realised there is no money in it. What makes Austin good at his job? Austin is friendly, motivated, and understanding. He's enthusiastic and prepared to hustle, especially as he's more competitive against himself than anyone else. Austin wants to do the best he can at all times, which means he's always doing the most he can for his candidates. Where is Austin going after work? What makes Caolán good at his job? His methodical approach to getting things done. Caolán's clients and candidates know that he doesn't cut corners, he will diligently get on with what needs to be done with no faffing about and sort it in a timely manner. Mostly likely reading comics, talking about comics, watching Marvel adaptations of comic books, the list goes on. He even apparently owns an issue of ‘Detective Comic' which is Batman before it was called Batman. Apparently, it's worth a lot. And now that information is on the internet for all to see, so if any comic book fanatics want to hunt him down and try to convince him to sell this is your chance.

Carla Chamberlain

Job Titles:
  • Senior Manager
Carla, or CC as she is known, is a shining example of how we all have potential we can't even imagine. Starting 8 years ago at Oyster, her first job in Recruitment, things were not plain sailing and it would have been very easy to call it a day. Instead, CC persisted where others would have given up, and eight years on she is not only managing a hugely successful team who adore her but has utterly conquered the QS scene and leading the way across our Development and Land division. And she did it all whilst being the most positive, energetic, fun person in the room. What makes Carla good at her job? Carla truly cares about what she does and doing the best job she can. Which is why candidates and clients know her number off by heart and are always happy to pick up the phone, even just for a quick natter at the end of the day. She loves to make others feel great, be that clients getting the perfect candidate, candidates getting the perfect job, or supporting her team to absolutely smash their personal goals. And that is what makes Carla such a great manager. She will invest 100% in everyone and will always be more excited by her team's achievements than her own. And once she's worked her way up to Director (the ultimate goal), she will of course pack it all in to invent a ground-breaking app, sell it off for millions, and live in Barbados until she's old and wrinkly. Where is Carla going after work? Home to cook up a goddamn storm in the kitchen (her words), nice glass of wine in hand and footie on the TV in the background. Or heading out with the team for a few after-work drinks, where she will at some point be persuaded to demonstrate the worm.

Chloe is chatty, positive, and light-hearted; she doesn't take herself too seriously, and keeps morale up amongst her team and her candidates alike. Where is Chloe going after work?

Colby Robinson

Job Titles:
  • Principal Consultant
Colby spent her first four years at Oyster absolutely dominating the Office Support market, before making the monumental decision to do something completely new. She moved to the Legal team and is already knocking that out the park too. Which is a surprise to no-one - Colby has always worked her butt off to do the best she can and having recently achieved her dream of buying a house (you go girl), is concentrating on taking each day as it comes, being successful and building her brand in a new market. What makes Colby good at her job? Especially starting something new, you need a lot of resilience, positivity, organisation, and adaptability to flourish. Which is lucky because Colby has all of those in spades. She's incredibly personable and communicates well and with honesty. She knows her clients and candidates back to front, so she always knows who to call. Not to mention, her life motto is positive things happen to positive people, and she applies that everyday at work without fail. Where is Colby going after work? Most weekends you will find Colby at a bottomless brunch, because honestly, nothing brings her as much joy as two hours of free-flowing prosecco. Apart from maybe a frozen strawberry daiquiri on the beach.

Connie Birkett

Job Titles:
  • Senior Consultant
Post-performing arts, what is there to do bar professional acting? Recruitment of course. Which is how Connie found herself at Oyster, using all the skills that made her great on stage: confidence, charisma, and focus. What makes Connie good at her job? A naturally sociable, inquisitive person, Connie is more than happy to hop on the phone and get to know people. She flourishes under pressure, and her ability to focus in on what needs to be done and complete it to a high degree makes her an accomplished recruiter. Where is Connie going after work? Outside of work, Connie is either spending her time at the gym, meeting up with her friends, or brushing up on her ballroom dancing skills, which sadly, she's let get a bit rusty.

Connie Priestley

Job Titles:
  • Personal Assistant to CEO
Connie is the glue that keeps us together; from ensuring our office equipment is fully stocked, to keeping up with Sasza's many creative ideas - it's not a task for the faint hearted. There's nothing too small or too great a task for Connie, and everyone at Oyster has benefitted from her positive attitude and passion to help people.

Courtney Pinnock

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
Since starting in her first recruitment job at Oyster in 2021, Courtney has been growing in confidence as each day goes by. She wants to be the best version of herself, to do well in life and be able to support herself and her family - and for Courtney the best version of herself was one that was smashing it in recruitment. And that's exactly what she's doing. What makes Courtney good at her job? The reason Courtney chose recruitment as a career path in the first place was because it plays to all her strengths. Good at listening and connecting with people, with a high level of attention to detail, Courtney is easy to chat to, understanding, and friendly to a fault. Not to mention, driven as hell. Where is Courtney going after work? Courtney is a busy lady - after work, she'd much rather pop home for a relaxed dinner, an evening watching Eastenders and a Maccies. But that's because she's got to be up in the morning to run her own small breakfast delivery service. Yep, you read that right. On top of her long hours recruiting, Courtney makes and delivers delicious breakfasts all across her local area. Pretty impressive.

Dana Beer

Job Titles:
  • Principal Consultant
Dana is the kind of person who could casually mention over lunch that she used to work as a circus performer, and no one would bat an eyelid. She wanders around the office in quirky clothes and funky earrings, is currently on her 13 th hair colour, and is utterly oblivious to how cool she is. And on top of that, she's spent the past year at Oyster proving how great she is at Recruitment, with an already loyal band of candidates and clients who know she's the go-to girl for General Practice. What makes Dana good at her job? Ever-changing hair colours and cool earrings might sound whimsical and fun, but when it comes to getting the job done, Dana is anything but. She's punctual, organised, personable, and efficient. She knows what she's talking about and is not afraid to get on the phone and make things happen. Where is Dana going after work? Where to even start? Martial arts, dancing, curry nights with her friends, out listening to live bands, going on history trips, collecting more cool clothes in charity shops, maybe deciding on hair colour number 14. Honestly, maybe she actually is a circus performer on the side, it wouldn't shock me.

Having started his recruitment journey in 2023, Edmund has gone from strength to strength. With ambition to build upon his experience and skillset, Edmund has definitely found his home at Oyster, settling right in with ease.

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
Edward's passion for fitness and sport means he knows all too well that to reap the rewards, you have to give it your all. This is what makes Edward such a tenacious Recruitment Consultant; he doesn't do anything by half and anything less than 100% simply won't cut it. Edward's determination ensures that whatever the task at hand, be that a hard-to-fill role or a football game, it is met with strategy, commitment, and energy. What makes Edward good at his job? Edward knows that success isn't linear; viewing every experience as an opportunity for growth means that even potential setbacks are taken in his stride, and used to aid in his self-delevopment. It's Edward's accountability, energy, and resilient mind-set that really elevate him above his competitors, making him an exceptional Consultant. Where is Edward going after work? If there's a football, Edward is sure not to be far behind it; having been playing since he was just 6 years old, he still practices every weekend. When he's not playing with his team or keeping active at the gym, Edward also enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family. But the absolute highlight of his week is 3pm on a Sunday, when the football is on TV… yep. He's obsessed.

Finlay takes a measured, proactive approach to his work, persevering until he achieves what he set out to do. His reliable, hardworking nature means that he doesn't walk away from a job half-done. Finlay's calm, reassuring presence puts his clients and candidates at ease. Where is Finlay going after work? To stand outside the pub with a Guinness and a packet of crisps. Or he'll be touring the world, visiting religious buildings in every city and country he visits, which is a very niche and specific interest that Finlay has.

Francesca Rudge

Job Titles:
  • Credit Controller
Francesca's determined nature, coupled with her expertise, make her the ideal Compliance Administrator. Francesca is motivated by her love of visiting other countries and experiencing different cultures. To achieve her ambition of visiting at least one new country every year, Francesca ensures she's always giving 100% in her work-life. As Francesca sees it, if you're hard-working and show good values in your professional life, you'll reap the rewards in your personal life. What makes Francesca good at her job? When Francesca's feet are on the ground and not flying between countries, you'll likely find her spending quality time with her friends and family, enjoying cosy nights in or perhaps a Vodka Lemon & Lime at a bar (absolute bonus if the F1 is playing - she's a big Hamilton fan). Ideally, though, Francesca dreams about golden hour, watching the sunset, with a cocktail in hand.

George Garrett

Job Titles:
  • Senior Consultant
Probably one of the most idiosyncratic people at Oyster, George is known for his dry sense of humour and funny quips. Or at least moderately funny. When asked for some personal qualities that I could include in this bio, he responded, ‘rambunctious occasionally' and ‘confident in his ability to smell out the nonsense'. Honestly, not sure how to spin those, so I'm just going to include them straight. They probably give the best demonstration of George anyway. What makes George good at his job? I've got to hand it to him, ‘confident in his ability to smell out the nonsense' probably is fairly accurate and a pretty good quality in a recruiter. George cuts through the noise to understand exactly the scope of what an organisation is looking to achieve and where a candidate can fit in that. You know with George that you won't be getting fluffy, insubstantial waffle. Just exactly the facts. Where is George going after work? George will likely be heading off to buy, sell, restore, and collect old BMWs. Eventually he wants to take a pan-European road trip ending in Mostar, Bosnia so he can get a pic of his car on the bridge. Either that or he'll be discussing politics with his friends in a coffee shop, like a 21 st Century knock-off version of the revolutionists in Les Mis.

George Howie

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
George joined Oyster in 2023, drawn to recruitment by his ambitions of becoming financially independent, with a greater freedom to travel. To achieve this, George isn't shy of some hard work, embodying one of our company our values: ‘Nothing's Ever too Much'. What makes George good at his job? George draws on his previous experiences and skills to ensure he consistently delivers results; his competitive nature ensures he his always one step ahead from any competition, determined to deliver the best recruitment service in his sector. Where is George going after work? George loves being social and a competitive game so naturally… you can find him on the football pitch most days. George also likes to get away and escape the hustle of London, enjoying the more serene atmosphere of the south of Spain.

Gurpreet Jassal

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
It was a pleasure working with Oyster and my consultant Ettie. She took the time to get to know me, my career goals, and what opportunities would be a good fit. She is a great communicator and liaison who continually followed up to keep me updated on the interview & hiring process. Highly recommended!

Hannah Bennett

Job Titles:
  • Compliance Officer
Hannah's seven years at Oyster have cemented her as absolutely crucial to the smooth running of the business. Seriously. Without Hannah there to pull together the necessary information for our candidates, sending out contracts, updating timesheets, making sure all information is correct, the whole system would grind to a halt. What makes Hannah good at her job? Hannah is one of the most meticulous people you will ever meet. She is capable of going through paperwork with a fine-toothed comb and there will not be much that escapes her attention. It's that patience, not just for picking up tiny details but also for chasing people for information, that makes Hannah so great at her job. It's no wonder she eventually wants to run a team of compliance officers, and honestly there's no one better for the job. Where is Hannah going after work? Probably home to do her favourite thing in the world: spend time with her children and her fiancé, likely curled up on the sofa in front of good series like 'The Vampire Diaries'... which she's watched over 5 times. The entire box set. Wow.

Hannah Clarke

Job Titles:
  • Director of People & Operations
With 15 years of Recruitment experience under her belt, 13 of which have been spent at Oyster, Hannah is (and always will be) an office legend. After reaching a staggering 80-something temps - the stuff of Oyster folklore - Hannah made the monumental decision to step into a whole new role. And thank goodness she did, or we wouldn't have her as our Head of People, steering our often-chaotic ship, and playing a huge part in Oyster's staggering growth plans. What makes Hannah good at her job? Hannah's innately competitive spirit means she does not easily give up - it's going to get done, even if it kills her! You can always rely on Hannah to do exactly what she says she will. But more than that, what makes Hannah so great at her job is her unwavering kindness and compassion. A listening ear for everyone in the office, a safe space to voice any concerns, Hannah will always be there to hear you out and do everything she can to help. She's conscientious, diligent, listens before she speaks, is loyal, trustworthy, and reliable. Beyond her ambitions to be Queen of Oyster (she already is), and see Oyster go global (watch this space), Hannah wants to make her little one, Ella, proud. And I think everyone at Oyster can safely say, she easily does that every day. Where is Hannah going after work?

I had a very good experience with Oyster. Sara and Anthony were very approachable and took the time to understand my requirements for changing jobs as it is a big and daunting prospect. Sara in particular was always available to attend to any questions and would touch base before interviews to give you last minute pointers and wish you luck. Would definitely recommend using them.

With the consistent help from Oyster, we were able to recruit 3 full time, temporary staff, to the team. I am very happy with the work Oyster did for us. They are a joy to work with and have allowed Central & Cecil to focus on customer service, going forward.
