In addition to the charity, we have a separate company, Debenham Community Centre Ltd (DCC), with was set up to provide those commercial activities which the Charity Commission felt should not sit within the charity. DCC operates the Deben Lounge and Community Centre bars, and all its profits are returned to the charity. The trustees/directors of DVH&PFT are also the directors of DCC... DVH&PFT is a charitable Company Limited By Guarantee and is registered with the Charity Commission. The "Limited By Guarantee" means that as well as being a Charity, the Trust is a Limited Company registered with Companies House. The Trustees of the Charity are also the Directors of the Limited Company. The rules and regulations laid down by both the Charity Commission and Companies House apply to the Trust, and can, at times be contradictory. The aims of the charity is to provide a wide range of social and sporting opportunities for the residents of Debenham and the surrounding area, which we deliver..
