Andrew enjoys all types of fishing however, spends most of his time lure fishing for Trout, Bass, Perch and anything else that will take a lure. He is also an avid destination angler who has fished, Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Zimbabwe and Canada to name a few. Andrew is a Fox Rage Sponsored Angler.
Our sea angling pro, Ben has fished for Wales many times as a youth team member and is a rising star on the competitive scene. One of the best young sea anglers in Wales. Ben is based in our Newport store.
With many years of experience under his belt Bob is an accomplished all-rounder, who especially enjoys fly fishing for trout. Bob also likes to pole and feeder fish for coarse species. Bob is a proficient fly tier and his extensive fishing travels have taken him to the USA, New Zealand, Norway and Ireland. Bob can found in the fly shop on the weekend.
Ceri works in our fly fishing store part time. His main focus is fishing for wild brown trout from lake and river, plus grayling and occasional stillwater fishery rainbows. He also enjoys salt water fishing for bass and sea trout. His travels have taken him to Spain as part of the World Welsh Fly Fishing Team, USA, Ireland, Cuba, Iceland, Orkney and France. Ceri co-authored 'Wild Lakes of Wales - An Anglers Guide' a book available from our website, and offers guided days in the South and Mid Wales area.
Ivor is a seasoned sea angler who has led Wales on many occasions on the comp scene. Ivors skills and knowledge are unmatched in South Wales when it comes to shore fishing. Ivor can be found in the Newport shop when he's not on the beach with a rod in hand.
Lloyd is an all-rounder, who especially enjoys lure fishing for perch, pike and saltwater species. He also likes to fish for specimen carp, grayling, barbel and chub on his local venues, including the river Taff. Lloyd works in our mail order department and as part of our internet team.
Lloyd enjoys a variety of lure fishing. He prefers to fish for the pike throughout the winter months, and spends the summer fishing mainly for the grayling, trout and perch on the rivers using light gear. He also enjoys sea fishing along the welsh coastline, with summer species such as smoothounds being his favourite targets.
Paul is the manager of our specialist game fishing shop and is a very experienced all-round angler. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the sport, from stillwater fly fishing to salmon fishing and has a wealth of knowledge about the latest fishing tackle.
Richard aka Coxy started river fishing on the Taff at a very early age, and is a well-known specialist barbel angler. He also enjoys carp fishing, spending a lot of time in Oxford or on extended trips to France. Richard also enjoys sea fishing and has caught some cracking bass on lures from local marks and some big blonde rays.
