Dental Assistant - I have 6 year of experience in the dental field. I am very blessed to have a career that I love and enjoy doing very day. Getting to be a part of enhancing a patients smile and dental health is very rewarding. Painting, reading, fishing and camping are my favorite hobbies. I have been married for ten years and have two sons and two daughters.
RDH - I graduated from the University of Michigan dental hygiene program in 1999. "With my 16 years of experience I have learned that building relationships and getting to know patients gives me great pride, as well as, helping patients maintain oral health or regain it from a diseased state." She lives in Belleville with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with family, camping, and actively supporting her children's extracurricular schedules.
Dr. Douglas Shiffman became affiliated with Smile Sensations and Dr. Kevin Potocsky in December of 2016. He received his undergraduate degree in 1970 from Wayne State University and his D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan in 1974. His affiliations include life membership as a U of M Alumni, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Francis B. Vedder Crown and Bridge Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and Oakland County Dental Society. Dr. Shiffman continues to enjoy his dental practice in all phases of general dentistry. When away from the office, his joys in life include spending time with his wife Julie, his children, and four grandchildren. He enjoys watching sports, playing golf and exercise.
Dr. Kevin Potocsky completed his undergraduate studies at University of Michigan, then earned his DDS at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2001. He worked under his father, Dr. I. Dennis Potocsky, for a year before taking over the Allen Park office in 2002. Dr. Kevin is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Michigan Dental Association, Detroit District Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Alpha Omega Dental Club. He was recognized in an article that ran in DentalTown Magazine for his achievements with teeth bleaching.
Dr. Kevin is certified in esthetics by Nash Institute and currently attends the Dawson Academy. He is trained to administer Six Month Braces® and miniature dental implants, as well. After hours, Dr. Kevin and his wife, Julie, enjoy movies and sporting events. Dr. Kevin also likes to play hockey and golf.

Patient Care Coordinator - I've spent 11 years in dental administration and 5 years in the Navy as a dental assistant. Understanding our patients needs is my top priority. Community service is very important to me. I am a Volunteer at our local animal shelter, walk 60 miles for breast cancer every year and have received the Rose Award for Service. CPR certified. My husband and I are blessed with two adult children.
