Ashley Tanner

Ashley is originally from Toledo, OH and I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at University of Dayton. Next, she earned her Master's Degree at Kettering College in the Physician Assistant program. While attending Kettering College, she was the student representative for the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Ashley is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Dermatology has always been her passion and she is excited for her career in such an amazing field. I have always wanted to move near the ocean, so I am very happy to finally get to live along the Gulf Coast! Some of my interests include: cozying up with a good book, walking along the beach, playing volleyball whenever I get the chance, and being a dog mom!

Dr. Alan "Bo" Stanford

Dr. Stanford is a Board-certified Dermatologist and earned his B.S. degree in Forestry Management from Mississippi State University before earning his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia and dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Stanford devoted over ten years of his medical career to serving in the United States Navy and has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Alabama Dermatology Society, and the Academy of Mohs Surgeons. He currently resides in Fairhope with his wife Cindy. Dr. Stanford practices in our Daphne office at 8573 county Rd 64. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30 pm. Phone-251-621-2244

Dr. Angel Allen

Dr. Allen graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. A doctorate of medicine, she has also completed a dermatology residency at St. Louis University. She has provided expert testimony about melanoma to the Health Care Policy Committee at the State Capital. Dr. Allen is a highly celebrated author in journals and texts-journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She appeared in a recent edition of Andrews Diseases of the Skin.

Dr. Cary L. Dunn

Cary L. Dunn, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship Trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. Dr. Dunn received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and his medical degree from Columbia University on scholarship from the US Army. He continued his post-doctoral education with an internship at Brooke Army Medical Center followed by a residency in Dermatology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Dunn completed a one year fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery under the direction of Dr. John Zitelli and Dr. David Broadland, who are both past Presidents of The American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Dunn is Board-Certified by The American Board of Dermatology. He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology and The American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Dunn has been practicing for over 25 years and has successfully completed 30,000 Mohs cases.

Dr. Ronald Johnston

Ronald Johnston, MD, is a Board-certified Dermatologist who specializes in clinical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology, and is highly skilled in the use of medical lasers for both cosmetic and traditional procedures. Dr. Johnston is an acknowledged expert in his field. He was the author of an international dermatology textbook in 2012 and numerous articles in peer review journals over the years. Additionally, Dr. Johnston is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). Dr. Johnston graduated from the US Air Force Academy, where he earned both his diploma and his commission as an US Air Force Officer. After a career as an F-15C fighter pilot with over 2000 total hours and 40 combat missions, Dr. Johnston attended medical school at USF and then completed a surgical internship. After a tour as an F-15C Pilot-Physician, Dr. Johnston completed his dermatology residency at USF as a Chief Resident. Following over 22 years in the Air Force and the promotion to the rank of Colonel, Dr. Johnston retired and chose to hang up his flight suit and uniforms to practice medicine on the Gulf Coast. Besides discussing dermatology, however, Dr. Johnston is always happy to talk about flying and pulling G's. Dr Johnston sees patients in all the Florida locations.

Dr. Thomas Bender

Thomas Bender, MD, FAAD, ABD is a Board-Certified dermatologist with Advanced Dermatology and Skin Care Centre. He was awarded the Patients' Choice Award in 2011, 2012, and 2014 and has also won the Most Compassionate Doctor Award in 2014. He has been featured on many local television stations and was asked to be featured on "The Doctors" TV Show. He is a national speaker for photodynamic therapy. Dr. Bender graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with an Electrical Engineering degree and then earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Tulane University Medical School in 1996. Dr. Bender completed his internship in General Surgery at Kessler Air Force Base and his Residency in Dermatology at Tulane Medical School. He served as a General Medical Officer in Family Practice for 5 years at Maxwell AFB, AL. Once he completed his Dermatology training , he was the Dermatologist at Eglin Air Force Base. Advanced Dermatology was invited to partner with Forefront Dermatology in June 2018. Dr Bender was elected by his peers to the Forefront Board of Directors in May 2019. Dr. Bender has been practicing dermatology for 19 years and loves providing comprehensive care of the skin. He takes great pride in helping patients with everything from skin cancers to warts, acne, and rosacea. Utilizing the most advanced and latest technology available, Dr. Bender treats aging skin, unwanted hair, unwanted vessels, fat, and many other conditions, such as psoriasis, vitiligo, hyperpigmentation, veins, rosacea, hair removal, tattoo removal, skin resurfacing, and more. Dr Bender sees patients at the Mobile, Daphne, and Bay Minette clinics.

Dr. Virginia Reeder

Dr. Reeder is a Board-certified Dermatologist that attended the University of Virginia, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and earned multiple honors including her undergraduate degree with Distinction with a Major in History and a Minor in French. She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where she became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then completed two years of residency training in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as a Dermatology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was Chief Resident. She also completed a fellowship in photo medicine, lasers and follicular disorders in the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals. Additionally, she has given presentations at various national and international Dermatology conferences. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including children and adults. Dr. Reeder practices both cosmetic and general dermatology including vaginal rejuvenation. Dr. Reeder performs any types of dermal injectable fillers including: Botox, Kybella, Juvederm, Restalyne, Restylane DeFyne and ReFyne, Voluma, an Volbella. She treats all types of skin conditions and disorders including: acne, actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, cysts, dermatitis, eczema, rashes, skin cancer, squamous cell carcinoma.

Elizabeth Simpson

Elizabeth grew up in the gulf coast area. She graduated from the University of South Alabama where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then received a Masters of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama. She has been practicing as a physician assistant since 2008 and been in the field of dermatology for over five years. She is a member of the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals, the Alabama Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is BLS and ACLS certified. She enjoys photography, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her husband and two daughters. She truly has a passion for the specialty of dermatology and believes that everyone deserves to feel good in their own skin. Lisa is a registered radiation therapist with over 30 years' experience treating cancer patients. Lisa has also attended the University of South Alabama. She takes pride in treating non-melanoma skin cancer. I love how much room there is for creativity in my work. Every day is different-and every patient is different. I was born in Mobile and have recently moved to the Eastern Shore. I have 2 daughters, Alix who is a Medical Assistant and Ashley, who is in her last year of Pharmacy School at Auburn University. I also have one adorable granddaughter, Olivia Grace. I love the Gulf Coast and enjoy spending my time with my partner in crime, Rafael. I love the beach, scuba diving, and going out on our boat. I also enjoy Deep sea fishing when the weather permits!

Erin Risco

Erin Risco, NP-C is a Mobile native with 5 years experience in the field of Dermatology. She enjoys treating all types of skin, hair, and nail issues including: acne, dermatitis, dry skin, eczema, hyperpigmentation, molluscum, psoriasis, and warts. Erin also can help guide you in your skin care needs, including recommendation of a customized skin care regimen that fits your specific skin type.

Greg Sharp

Greg Sharp is a Certified Physician's Assistant in our Alabama clinics. In addition to dermatology, he has extensive experience in wound care and surgery. Greg grew up in Mobile, where he graduated from Murphy High School, and attended undergraduate at Auburn University. He then attended the University of South Alabama for Physician Assistant Sciences school where he earned a Master of Health Sciences. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a Fellow of the Alabama Association of Physician Assistants. Greg has been practicing in the field of dermatology for 6 years, he specializes in both general and cosmetic dermatology. He treats many types of common skin conditions such as: acne, actinic keratosis, cysts, dermatitis, eczema, hyperpigmentation, molluscum, psoriasis, vitiligo, and warts. During his free time, Greg enjoys the outdoors and volunteering in the community.

Hannah Smith

Hannah, a native of Mobile Bay, has always had a deep connection to her community. Her dedication to serving others began in high school when she proudly represented her city as an Azalea Trial maid. Fueled by her passion for health and wellness, Hannah pursued her academic journey at Auburn University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science. Hannah went on to obtain her Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She started her career in the ER before practicing dermatology. Hannah feels passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Hannah now lives in Fairhope with her family. She enjoys taking her dog to the beach, playing tennis, and eating seafood!"

Jessica Davis

Jessica grew up in the gulf coast area. After graduating from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Jessica has been practicing in dermatology for over fifteen years. She has a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences. Jessica believes her role as a Physician Assistant allows her to help, serve, and show compassion towards others-which are qualities she believes in! Jessica finds it a rewarding experience each day to build relationships with patients, develop their treatment plans, and visually follow up during their improvement process. Jessica specializes in general dermatology, treating many dermatologic issues such as: acne, actinic keratosis dermatitis, molluscum, rosacea, seborrheic keratosis, psoriasis, and many other common skin conditions. When Jessica is not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children.

Kellie Toth

Kellie Toth has lived on the Gulf Coast most of her life. She grew up in Fairhope, beginning at the age of five. She earned her Bachelor of Science and then completed her Masters degree in the Physician Assistant program at the University of South Alabama. She is board-certified with NCCPA, and she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Alabama Society of Physician Assistants. Following graduation, she practiced in multiple specialties for a couple years. Missing home, she returned to the gulf coast and spent nine years in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. In the summer of 2016, she transitioned into dermatology by joining Advanced Dermatology and couldn't be happier! She finds great pleasure in serving the needs of the citizens of the Gulf coast. Outside of work, she loves being a mother and a wife, and loves the outdoors. The perfect day for Kellie would include her family, a hike, and a sail on the bay at sunset!

Megan Harris

Megan Harris grew up in the Tampa Bay area and attended the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science and a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. While in the physician assistant program, Megan was awarded the Outstanding Academic Student award. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Megan found her passion for dermatology at a young age and started working in the dermatology setting as a college student and continued to pursue that passion following graduation from the physician assistant program. She has over 8 years of experience in dermatology and enjoys treating patients of all ages and loves the many aspects of dermatology. Megan and her family live in the Fairhope area and in her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.
