Richard F. Carrott

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Executive Team
  • Chairman / CEO & Inventor

He then set out to create an upfront application that would not require the transmission of any personal information, would positively verify the identity of the parties to the transaction, and would finalize the transaction. Hence, the creation, modification, and patenting of the Benedor system. Prior to Benedor, Mr. Carrott served as the founder of Careau & Co., a green-waste diversion company specializing in soil amendment products for export to Middle Eastern countries. From 1985 until 2001, Mr. Carrott was the owner & CEO of Egg City, a southern California egg production and processing operation he bought from The Kroger Co. Under his leadership he expanded the company (which Kroger had been winding-down) from sales of about $13 million to $52 million per year. In the process, Egg City became the largest producer and processor on the West Coast and the largest exporter of egg products in the nation. It was a major supplier of shell eggs to retailers: Vons, Albertsons, Lucky, Safeway, and Ralphs.
