Laurie Hunt is managing director of legal services for the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority. In this position, she is responsible for all of CRRA's legal affairs, serving as in-house counsel and directing the efforts of outside law firms.
Previously, she was corporate counsel for Northeast Energy Services, Inc., in Westborough, Mass., and general counsel for Independent Energy Corporation prior to its acquisition by NES's corporate parent. She had been an associate at the New Haven law firm of Winnick, Resnick, Skolnik & Auerbach.
Before joining CRRA, he was chief of fiscal and administrative services for Bradley International Airport and five smaller airports owned and operated by the Connecticut Department of Transportation, where he was instrumental in transitioning those facilities to the new Connecticut Airport Authority. In that position, his responsibilities included strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting, pricing, accounting, policy development and implementation and negotiation of business terms with all airlines, vendors and other tenants and service providers.
Peter W. Egan is director of operations and environmental affairs for the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority. In this position, he is responsible for CRRA's trash-to-energy and recycling systems, and other business objectives, as well as environmental strategy and environmental regulatory compliance.
Previously, he was with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc., a nationally recognized hazardous waste management company headquartered in Braintree, Mass., where he served in various facility and corporate environmental regulatory compliance positions, most recently as director of regulatory affairs.

Thomas D. Kirk is president of the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority. He has more than 25 years of management experience in engineering, energy and waste management.
Prior to joining CRRA in January 2003 Kirk was general manager for Wisvest-Connecticut since 1999. Previously, he spent 11 years at Wheelabrator Technologies, holding the positions of operations manager, plant manager and general manager. He was the initial operations manager for the Bridgeport Resco/CRRA Bridgeport Project plant.
Thomas P. Gaffey is director of recycling and enforcement for the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority. He oversees CRRA's recycling facilities, scale operations and enforcement of disposal regulations.
During his career at CRRA he has also managed the agency's government, public affairs and education functions. Previously he worked as executive assistant for two commissioners of the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. He served in the state senate from 1995 to 2011, where he was deputy majority leader.
