DESIGN THROUGH METALWORK

Richard works with steel, forging, forming and fabricating all of his work by hand. He uses a range of traditional and modern tools and techniques to create his work... Richard started the forge back in 2010, which is based in the old sawmill building nestled in the beautiful village of Milland, West Sussex. From here Richard produces his work, a mix of contemporary art and high quality furniture, good design is extremely important... This functional artwork is my interpretation of an object invented around 100 years ago for absinthe bars across Europe. The mechanism slowly drips ice-cold water through a sugar cube into a glass of absinthe, allowing you to prepare your drink at the table without interrupting your conversation.
