Paul is Chief Financial Officer and Co-Chief Operating Officer. He joined Forgestone in 2018 and is responsible for the firm's corporate governance, strategic structuring, financial reporting, treasury, tax, debt, and risk management.
Paul is also responsible for operational oversight, investor communications, ESG, technology, and the implementation of Forgestone's broader business initiatives.
Prior to joining Forgestone, Paul was a Senior Manager at KPMG, practicing in their building, construction, and real estate group. Paul worked with clients across the industry, including private equity, mortgage investment corporations, real estate investment trusts and public private partnerships. He has been involved in over $3 billion worth of real estate transactions, including public and private offerings.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Western University and is also a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.

Searl leads the Asset Management platform at Forgestone, and is responsible for the overall stewardship of a multi-faceted national portfolio, on behalf of our institutional and private partners and investors. Searl focuses on building close working relationships and strategically guiding the team's pursuit of maximizing asset performance, diligent project execution and prudent risk management.
As a member of Forgestone's senior leadership team, Searl also plays an active role in spearheading the optimization of the company's operating capabilities, ESG programs and the advancement of various tactical initiatives to drive business strategies.
Prior to joining Forgestone, Searl spent 10 years in a senior capacity within the disciplines of Asset and Property Management, at a nationally focused advisory and capital firm with over $8 billion of assets under management. He played a key role in the successful implementation of acquisition, development, value add re-positioning and opportunistic disposition mandates within a large-scale portfolio of institutional grade assets.
Searl has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Stefan Simonyi is President Mortgage Investments and leads the firm's loan origination, mortgage servicing and mortgage fund businesses. In addition, Stefan also provides oversight and leads all client debt matters for the opportunity funds and advisory/asset management business. Stefan has 25 years of experience with loan origination, loan syndications, loan sales, loan workouts and portfolio management. He brings a hands-on and pro-active approach to debt asset management. To date, he has originated and structured over $9 billion in commercial mortgage transactions.
Prior to joining Forgestone, Stefan was formerly a Director Originations at GE Capital Real Estate, originating mortgages in Nationwide and he led all of GE's Canadian loan syndications and capital markets activities. Prior to this, Stefan held progressive positions with Canada Post Pension Plan - Real Estate Investments and Credit Suisse/Column Financial mortgage operations.
Stefan holds his MBA from Capital University, Ohio, USA and Bachelor of Arts and Science from University of Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Trevor is a Co-Founder and CEO of Forgestone and is responsible for the strategic direction of the company's business, having a pivotal role in the overall investment strategy, deal generation and deal execution process.
Trevor brings more than 34 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and more than $40 BN of investment and debt financing expertise.
Through Trevor's leadership, Forgestone has grown to over $5 BN of assets under management and have raised +$1.5 BN of equity associated with the company's Opportunity Funds, Mortgage Fund, and 3rd party asset Advisory Business.
Prior to founding Forgestone, Trevor was Co-Head of the Real Estate Capital Markets group at Bank of Montreal, where he established the company's successful real estate practice and brokerage business.
