Kevin Kingston

Kevin Kingston was born in Texas and raised in Alabama. He began working with the Griffin two days after moving to Chicago, sweeping the stage as a Assistant Stage Manager for their 2003 production of "Picnic." He then acted in the Jeff Award Winning production of "Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging." Going on to become a part of Griffin's national touring program; he played Bradley in "There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom," Rory in "Romeo and Juliet are Alive and Well and Living in Maple Bend," and the Giant in "Stinky Cheese Man." He also directed their touring production of "Landry News" and both acts and directs in "Letters Home." You may have also caught his appearance as Tristran Thorn in Neil Gaiman's "Stardust" or Hibbert in "Journey's End." He has also had the opportunity to work with Lifeline Theatre, Grey Zelda, Free Readers Ensemble, Rogue Theatre Company, Eclipse Theatre Company, Theatre on the Lake, Writer's Theatre, Kitchen Dog, and Junior Players of Dallas. He received his BFA in Theatre Studies with an emphasis in Directing and Performance Studies from SMU's Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, Texas. He is the recipient of the 2003 Garland Wright Award for Directing. He recently received his MFA in directing from the Theater School at Depaul University.

Scott Weinstein is thrilled to be a company member with Griffin Theatre where he has directed Ragtime (Jeff Award - Best Director, Production, Ensemble), Violet (Jeff Nom - Best Director), Bat Boy (Jeff Nom - Best Director), Titanic (Jeff Nom - Best Director, Production) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Other favorite credits include Rock of Ages (Drury Lane Theatre); Murder For Two (Marriott Theatre); Rent (Theo Ubique, Jeff Award - Best Director, Best Musical); She Kills Monsters (Steppenwolf Theatre Garage Rep); Seussical (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); Million Dollar Quartet (Fingerlakes Music Theatre Festival, Phoenix Theatre); Upright Grand (Citadel Theatre) and the world premieres of Baristas (New York International Fringe Festival) and Knights of The Sales Office (Adirondack Theatre Festival). He is a company member with Redtwist Theatre where he has directed Frost/Nixon, Circle Mirror Transformation and The Drawer Boy, among others. Scott is the recipient of a Berkshire Theatre Festival Directing Fellowship and a Stage Directors and Choreographers Observership. He was the Associate and Resident Director for the Broadway National Tour, Las Vegas and Chicago productions of Million Dollar Quartet. He directs the resident production on Norwegian Cruise Lines as well as regional productions across the country. He has developed new work at Pittsburgh CLO, The American Music Theatre Project, The Marriott Theatre, Route 66 Theatre, Porchlight Theatre and others. William J. Massolia - Founder

William Massolia is a founding member of the Griffin Theatre Company. He is the author of over 30 plays and adaptations including, Be More Chill, Little Brother, Stardust, Loving Little Egypt, Shakespeare's Dog, Ash Can Alley, and The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. His play Letters Home recently completed a 17 city National Tour of North America and his children's play, Frindle was presented in 22 US cities in the 2009/2010 season. Massolia is a 7-time Joseph Jefferson Award nominee for his work as a playwright. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, Mr. Massolia is a past member of the League of Chicago Theatres Board of Directors, a recipient of an IAC Playwriting Fellowship Award and currently sits on the theatre advisory panel for the Illinois Arts Council.
