Dr. Samuel Ason joined Ghana Water Company Limited in 1998 and was posted to Bolgatanga as the District Commercial Officer. By dint of hard work, he was transferred to Tamale in the Northern Region in 2002 to serve in a higher capacity as the Regional Commercial Officer. For 19 years, Dr. Samuel Ason held the position of Regional Commercial Manager from July 2002 to April 2021 and had worked in the Northern, Central, Western, Ashanti South and Accra East Regions. Dr. Samuel Ason holds a Doctor of Management Degree from the Swiss Management Center University at Zug, Switzerland. He also holds PhD in Management from the Central University of Nicaragua. Hon. Akwasi Konadu is the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia North Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He hails from Paakoso in the Ashanti Region. Hon. Konadu is a product of Opoku Ware Secondary School. Hon. Until his transfer to the head office as the Chief Manager for corporate planning and development, he was the Regional Chief Manager for Western Region. In addition, Ing. Francis Agyei-Boateng has had the rare opportunity of working as an intern with Stadtswerke Mainz, the department responsible for water supply for the city of Mainz, the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate State of Germany and the Mekorot, which is also the national water supply company of Israel, headquartered then in Tel Aviv. He comes along with a wealth of experience in the water sector spanning beyond twenty-seven (27) years, traversing water distribution operations, planning, designing, implementation and evaluation of water supply projects as well as Water Supply Engineering Management. Ing. Francis Agyei-Boateng is endued with passion for accelerated Water Supply Infrastructure Development aimed at improving access to underserved areas. Mr. Christian Siawor joined the company as an intern in 1996 with a subsequent confirmation as a Chemist/Bacteriologist. He was the Chief Manager of the Accra Tema Metropolitan Area water production systems (ATMA Production) from 2015 to 2018, when he assumed his current position as Chief Manager in charge of Special Duties. Mr. Siawor has garnered extensive experience in water quality and treatment, and system technical audit in a career that has spanned two decades with stints at the Weija Treatment Plant, the ATMA Regional Laboratory, the Brong Ahafo Region and the Water Quality Directorate at the Head Office. His knowledge of the operations of the company was particularly accentuated by the role he played during the 5-year GWCL/AVRL management contract as a Compliance Officer with the Operations Monitoring and Asset Management department (OMAM) where he visited all GWCL's treatment facilities nationwide for technical auditing and system appraisal. He has served as a member of the National Technical Committee on Standards for Drinking Water Quality from 2008 to 2013 and the national steering committee of integrated management of invasive aquatic weeds project from 2007 to 2014. Being proficient in research and innovation, he has to his credit patents in the USA, Ghana and other jurisdictions in respect of a Constant Head Gravity Fluid Dispenser. He has also developed novel procedures for treating iron and arsenic contaminants in water. He is a member of the Ghana Chemical Society and holds a Bachelor of Science BSc (Hon) degree in Biochemistry from KNUST, and a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Water Management from UNESCO IHE, Netherlands.

He joined Ghana Water Company Limited on 13 th January, 1992 as an Assistant Administration Officer and has risen through the ranks. He had his national service with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in Accra prior to him joining the company. He has over 25 years working experience in Organizational Development and Behavior, Collective Bargaining, and Employee Relationship Management. Mr. Ayesu is currently the Coordinating Director in charge of Operations at the Ministry of Finance. Mr. Stephen Nkrumah Dampare is currently the Chief Manager (Materials), a position he fully assumed in July 2019, having been in acting capacity since May 2015. Faustina Boachie is the Chief Manager responsible for fostering an inclusive water service delivery in which special attention is paid to serving the Low Income Urban Communities (LIUCs). She possesses the strong social skills needed to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Thanks to her dedication and support from external donors she succeeded to improve water services in dozens of urban communities and thereby ensuring indirect and direct access to water to well over a million Ghanaians. Faustina's career with the GWCL started as a Commercial Officer in 1999. Six years later she became Obuasi's first female district manager. In 2009 she moved to Accra to manage Ghana Water's key accounts as a Customer Care Manager. During this time, she was given additional responsibilities as a Pro-Poor Coordinator. Having experienced what not having direct access to piped water means, and what consequences it has, she became a strong advocate for pro-poor services. A decade later Faustina is credited with transforming a one-person desk unit into a fully-fledged department that has contributed immensely to infrastructure development in several marginalized and disadvantage urban communities in Ghana. In doing so she is immensely grateful to the trust she received from GWCL's Board of Directors, Top Management and Chief Managers as well as the support from a wide range of donors. These include the World Bank, WaterWorX, UNICEF, UN Habitat, WSUP and Water for Life. Faustina holds a degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast and an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. She is an active member of the African Water Association as well as the International Water Association. She is also a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Economists, Ghana.

Mrs. Jemima Toseafa

Mrs. Toseafa is an experienced Lawyer with 30 years practical and innovative work experience in the provision of legal services, and as In House Counsel for Ghana Water LTD. She has vast experience and strong industry expertise in commercial/contract law with a specialty in drafting and negotiating project FIDIC (construction) contracts. She is conversant with the current policies, codes, regulatory framework, best practices and guidelines of corporate governance. Apart from her technical legal knowledge and skills, her key competencies include providing strategic leadership, formulation of business policies, dealing with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas in the urban water subsector. She is effective in presenting and communicating to the many diverse constituencies in the water sector, including significant decision makers, Boards, and other business leaders, to engender confidence and credibility. From 2009 to date, Jemima has worked as Company Secretary with various Boards and Chairmen and Directors of diverse backgrounds. She understands boardroom dynamics and has extensive experience in boardroom practice. Jemima joined GWCL as a Legal Officer in 1999 and was appointed Chief Manager (Legal Services) and Company Secretary in 2014. Prior to joining GWCL, Mrs. Toseafa worked as Legal Counsel for Messrs Kyeremateng and Associates in Accra and Messrs Barton Odro and Partners in Cape Coast. She is a Senior Member of the Ghana Bar Association and a Notary Public. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana and a Barrister at Law qualification from the Ghana School of Law, Accra. She has a master's degree in governance and leadership from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and has won two academic awards, including Best Student, Governance and Leadership, 2013 GIMPA Graduating Class. Margaret N. M. Macauley is currently the Chief Manager, Water Quality Assurance. Prior to this, she served for five years as Water Quality Manager in charge of the GWCL Central Laboratory with the Accra Tema Area Production Region. She began her professional career with GWCL 1992. In 2009, Mrs. Macauley was transferred to Accra East Region as the Regional Water Quality Manager with responsibilities for Accra East, Accra West as well as Tema Regions. In 2008, she served under AVRL as the team leader for the nationwide project to roll-out Water Safety Plans in all the regions. Between 2005 and 2008, Mrs. Macauley worked in the Central Region as the Regional Chemist in charge of seven water treatment systems and their corresponding distribution system areas. Prior to that, she worked for five years at the Weija Headworks as the process Chemist. She also served as the assistant to the Regional Chemist in the Ashanti Regional Laboratory for two years. Her first duty station with the company was Barekese Headworks, where she worked for five years as the first female to ever work at that treatment plant.

Richard Appiah Otoo

Richard Appiah Otoo is responsible for providing Strategic and Technical leadership for the Operations and maintenance of Ghana Water Company Limited's Systems and Assets. Before assuming the role of Chief of Operations in 2022, he was the Chief of Technology & Innovation from 2018; where he led the company through major business transformation using cutting-edge technologies. In 2003, he pioneered the use of Geographical Information system (GIS) in GWCL, and later became the first Chief Manager of the department in 2015. In the past, he worked as a Consultant for multinational firms and development institutions across three (3) continents. He has served on dozens of both local and Global Committees and Boards related to Water Management, Engineering and Technology. He served as a Mentor/Advisor for the 2022 MIT Water Innovation Prize. He has participated in many research projects and co-authored many cited papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (UK), American Society of Civil Engineers, Ghana Institution of Engineers, Project Management Institute, American Water Works Association, Institute of Asset Management and International Water Association. He has received numerous awards including International Planetary Urbanism prize initiated by ARCH+ together with the German Federal Foreign Office and German Advisory Council on Global Change, Commonwealth Scholarship given by the British Government, MASHAV Scholarship given by the Israeli Government, African Geospatial Excellence Award among others. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Accra Legon East.
