Chris Farnum

Chris has been doing IA and UX design for 18+ years. He is a Lead User Experience Designer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, doing user experience design for strategic projects within a cross functional team for the public site BCBSM.COM. Previously, Chris was on the UX team at ProQuest, where he works on agile user experience teams designing search interfaces and library workflow solutions. Before that, Chris worked at Enlighten, where he collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful user experiences for brand sites such as TCS and Pittsburgh Paints. Danielle Cooley

Danielle has over 15 years of experience in a multitude of user research and usability analysis methods utilized on a wide variety of applications, including hardware, Windows, web, telephone, and mobile. Her successful designs have been implemented at both large and small, public and private companies in many industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to car rental to financial services. Active in the field, she was the conference co-director for the 2014 User Experience Professionals' Association conference, founding Vice President of the Boston chapter of the Usability Professionals Association, and served as Panels chair and Experienced Practitioner co-chair for the 2007 and 2008 Usability Professionals' Association Annual Conferences, respectively. She has a BE in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a MS in Human Factors in Information Design from the Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University in Waltham, MA.

Prior to ProQuest, Farris served as Product Director for ForeSee (a predictive customer experience analytics firm), and was a consultant in the fields of business strategy and marketing. He has extensive experience in ecommerce, content oriented websites, insurance, automotive and small business development. He holds an MBA and MS in Industrial and Operations Engineering (specializing in human/computer interaction) both from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Keith S. Karn

Keith Karn is the owner and principal consultant of Human Factors in Context LLC, a consulting firm offering user research, human factors engineering, and physical / digital interaction design. Keith has been steeped in human-centered design since strapping himself into the ejection seat of a supersonic airplane during his first human factors job in the early '80s. Since then he has trekked across mountains, slogged through coal mines, and trailed ER docs, all in the pursuit of user research to support product innovation. Before starting Human Factors in Context, he led user research and design teams at Bresslergroup, Design Science, Xerox, and Kodak. He earned his PhD in Experimental Psychology at the University of Rochester and degrees in Ergonomics and Systems / Industrial Engineering at North Carolina State University and Penn State. He taught human factors and human-computer interaction for many years at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester. He has 13 utility patents. Fun Fact: When he's not in the office, he spends most of his time in the woods - backpacking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Stephanie Rosenbaum

Stephanie Rosenbaum is CEO of TecEd, Inc., a UX consultancy whose ethnographic research clients include Google, Cisco Systems, VMware, Varian Medical Systems, Ford Motor Company, and a wide variety of smaller firms. Stephanie is a frequent presenter at UXPA and ACM SIGCHI conferences, received the STC's Rainey Award for Excellence in Research, and was awarded an IEEE Millennium Medal in 2000. Her research background includes anthropology studies at Columbia University and experimental psychology research for the University of California at Berkeley.

Susan Weinschenk
