JENKINS TYPOGRAPHY

COLUMBIA, SC -- "The Birth of Jenkins Typography." After a long foray into South Carolina state government and using computers for state agencies, in1992, it was time for me to utilize my skills in a new venture. Therefore, Jenkins Typography was born. (That's all the birthing we guys can do). I honed my skills in the English language from high school through college and began editing others' writing. After earning my B.A. in 1980, I joined PBS affiliate South Carolina ETV as a camera operator and studio technician. I earned my secondary English teaching certification and joined Richland School District Two as Instructional Television Coordinator. At this point, I was using computers to create the database of all the district's videotape holdings. I spread my wings as Jenkins Typography in 1992 to create everything from a résumé to a business card to a modern history book of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Columbia, SC.
