Dr. Allison Gordon

Dr. Allison Gordon began her education at Cornell University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Society, and she then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine at UMDNJ - New Jersey Dental School (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine), where she was selected for the Gamma Pi Delta Honor Society. Dr. Gordon's post-graduate education includes a General Practice Residency at Woodhull Medical Center, an affiliate of NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Gordon has completed multiple externships, including at the Division of Dentistry at Weill Cornell Medical College and with the Indian Health Service in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Gordon received her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, which is a distinction earned by less than 6% of dentists. A routine participant in continuing education programs-including the prestigious NYU Clinical Implantology Program-Dr. Gordon continues to cultivate her knowledge and skills in the ever-changing field of dentistry. She was recruited to serve on staff at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she teaches as a Clinical Attending in the General Practice Residency. Dr. Gordon was also selected as a Sensodyne oral healthcare expert; her television debut can be watched here. While originally from New Jersey, Dr. Gordon now lives in Manhattan with her husband and daughter. She enjoys cooking, craft beer, and reality television.

Dr. John K. Vargas

John K. Vargas, D.D.S. received his degree from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery. After completing his training, Dr. Vargas pursued an additional year of study at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where he received extensive training in restoring implants, cosmetics and other crown and bridge procedures. Dr. Vargas has practiced in Washington, DC, Boston, and New York. He also was a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery where he had the opportunity to educate and guide the next generation of young dentists. Dr. Vargas is an active member of the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of General Dentistry. He has also volunteered for Operation Smile in Hanoi and Hue, Vietnam, where he provided volunteer dental services to disadvantaged children. When he's not at the office, Dr. Vargas enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He loves to hike in Rockefeller State Park with his dog, try NYC restaurants, travel and play his guitar.

Dr. Mitchell Charnas

Dr. Charnas studied at the University of Pennsylvania, double majoring in Biology and Psychology. He proceeded with his dental studies at The University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Once out of dental school, Dr. Charnas went onto complete his general practice residency at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York County Dental Society and has taken extensive continuing education courses in restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Charnas is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. His gentle care and extensive knowledge are all reasons patients choose him. He has appeared on various television news programs and in numerous magazines. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys cycling at the gym or playing tennis.

Dr. Randy N. Simon

Dr. Randy N. Simon was born and raised in Hewlett, NY, and now resides in the Village of Flower Hill, home of Roslyn and Port Washington. He attended the University of Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor in Science (BS), and then received his Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) from Rutgers's University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Simon earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry (NYU). During his time at NYU, Dr. Simon was selected to the prestigious Honors in Endodontics program offered to highly motivated students with a high level of academic achievement and was recognized with the annual Student Achievement Award by the New York State Association of Endodontists. After graduating NYU with his DDS degree, Dr. Simon was accepted directly into the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at New York University. He trained under internationally known faculty, concentrating on evidence-based endodontic treatment with interest in pain relief, infection control, and traumatic injuries. Over the course of his time at NYU, Dr. Simon participated in research, and was a co-author of a presentation at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Meeting. Dr. Simon continues to work as a Clinical Faculty Attending for the current NYU Endodontic Residents, helping them train to become the newest generation of clinicians. Dr. Simon is Board-Eligible for the American Board of Endodontics. He takes a special interest in the diagnostic process, discussing each phase of the treatment with his patients to ensure they are at ease, comfortable, and knowledgeable about their care. Dr. Simon and his wife just welcomed their precious daughter into the world. Family has always been of utmost importance, and he likes to make his patients part of that family!

Dr. Yannis Koroneos

Dr. Koroneos earned a B.A. in International Relations at Boston University, concentrating in Middle East Foreign Policy. After college, he worked as a research technician at the Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, MA where he discovered his love for dentistry through periodontal research. He subsequently earned his DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, Dr. Koroneos was elected by his classmates as Class President and represented his class when interfacing with the administration and alumni. The American College of Dentists awarded him the "Outstanding Student Leader" award in his final year, and he also received an endowed prize for peer support and leadership. Dr. Koroneos prides himself on clinical practice backed by evidence based dentistry. He is a member of the Robert Andrews Research Honor Society and was a recipient of the Deans Research Scholarship for all four years while at TUSDM, where he focused on implant survival and complications. He has presented his work at numerous conferences. Dr. Koroneos also received the Dr. Harold Berk Endowed Prize Fund for Excellence in Research. After graduating from Tufts Dr. Koroneos went on to complete a general practice residency at Bellevue Hospital Center, learning advanced dental and surgical procedures in a fast paced hospital setting.
