Northlew and Ashbury Primary School extends a warm welcome to you and your child. It is very much our hope that, in partnership with you, we can offer your child the very best foundation for their future life. Northlew primary is part of the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, which comprises of 17 schools. We believe that working together allows us to share our strengths and aim for excellence... Northlew C of E Primary School was established in 1866. The doors first opened in January 1867 and it provided a varied education for the all the children of Northlew and Ashbury. It was not until 1945 that the junior children were transported into nearby Okehampton to receive further education and the school became a primary school, serving 4 - 11 year olds. In 1984 the school was declared a Voluntary Controlled school although it still maintains close links with the church... We are situated in the centre of Northlew village approximately seven miles north west of Okehampton.
