Adam is a co-founder of Advent Communications and a fully qualified journalist with more than 20 years of experience.
He has worked across the Midlands on a range of newspapers and is responsible for new business development and leads our PR team.
Adam has worked closely with every client on the Advent portfolio and has supervised the expansion of the company.
Adam re-joined PLMR Advent in August 2022 as an Account Manager after a year away from the company working for the police.
Prior to this, he spent more than five years with the company managing a broad client base - from education to professional services, having previously worked in the press office for Argos and Homebase.
Adam graduated with a first class honours degree in Journalism and Media from Coventry University in 2011.
Adam joined PLMR as an intern in September 2022, and has since been promoted to become an Account Executive. He works across a broad range of clients, supporting them to reach their goals through campaigns and communications support in the media and with key stakeholders.
Before joining PLMR, Adam worked as an intern at the Afghanistan and Central Asian Association, which supports Afghan refugees in the UK. Over the course of this work, Adam worked across the charity's communications team, supporting on issues ranging from their response to the Rwanda deportation flights to the charity's summer festival.
He graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA in English in 2021, where he also completed a Masters in Conflict, Security and Development.

Alex joined Advent in 2016 after working as a communications officer for the NHS in Birmingham.
She had previously spent three years as a journalist at the Nuneaton News and also spent time writing for the Burton Mail.
She is a journalism and English language graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, is NCTJ qualified and works across a range of Advent client accounts.

Alex joined the PLMR Genesis team from a music PR background having fulfilled exciting campaigns for the latest and greatest acts and artists - securing meaningful coverage on regional and national level for names like Limahl from Kajagoogoo and London reggae legends The Dualers.
Alex graduated with a first-class Journalism degree from Nottingham Trent University where he first realised, he had a passion for PR during his final year.
Through a multi-platform approach, Alex builds positive brand identities and relations while identifying upcoming media opportunities for clients. His passion for storytelling and close contact with journalists has led to press coverage for clients on a local, national, and international level across digital, print, radio and TV.
Alex is looking forward to growing his career with PLMR Genesis.

As Genesis' Director of Digital, Alex is responsible for leading and managing on all aspects of the digital marketing activity through strategic direction, input and analytical insight for both the agency and its clients. His role covers the tactical planning, creation and management of digital strategies, advertising campaigns, website projects and more.
Alex's experience spans a wide range of sectors and industries across local, national and international brands - he largely operates in the public sector and B2B markets, with a significant number of clients in his portfolio.
He graduated in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Advertising & Marketing and has since gained many more qualifications. Alex started at Genesis as an account executive in June 2015 and has grown and developed his skillset and expertise to become a valued and senior member of the agency - he plays an active role within the Genesis Management Team alongside Ali Straker and Emma Hart.
Outside of work, Alex is a keen drummer and has been playing for 15+ years. He is in multiple bands and one of them, The Joe Keeley Band, in 2020 had a UK No.1 debut album (in the UK iTunes Country Charts!).
Alex is an Senior Account Executive within PLMR's energy and sustainability practice, where he provides public affairs and PR support to clients. Alex previously worked within the built environment team, focusing on planning and housing policy, community engagement, and local authority consultations.
Prior to joining PLMR, Alex graduated from the University of York with a degree in Politics. Whilst there, he served as the student union's Disabled Students' Officer. Alex currently volunteers for a community organisation, Living Bankside, where he is helping local residents establish only the second parish council in London.

Ali Straker is Director of Content and PR at Genesis and is highly experienced in B2C integrated communications, marketing and events.
She delivers strategic direction, behavioural change communications, content creation for digital and traditional media and reputation management. Ali has a substantial track record of delivering successful marketing and PR programmes at national and local level.
Ali is a former journalist with campaign, press office and digital estate management experience across local government, housing, health and social care and education. Prior to joining Genesis, Ali was Editorial and Content Manager at the British Red Cross overseeing communications output across advocacy, fundraising, international development and UK social care.
Ali has won awards for campaigns, events and reports; demonstrating the breadth of her communications experience. As a trusted advisor, she has provided briefings for ministerial meetings and written speeches for Chief Executives.
Ali graduated from the University of Leicester with a Bsc (Hons) in Sociology, holds post-graduate qualifications in Journalism and content design and is a proud top ten per-cent graduate of the Squared Digital Leadership and Management programme, developed by Google.

Ally is a Digital Account Manager with Genesis at PLMR with a wide range of knowledge and experience across digital marketing. Implementing digital strategies such as pay per click advertising, paid social media and SEO for a variety of different clients across a range of sectors.
Amy Colwell is an Account Executive within PLMR's Energy and Sustainability practice, where she provides clients across the energy, nature, food and care sectors with public affairs and public relations support. Prior to joining PLMR, Amy worked as a researcher for a charity working to extend the rights of women in developing nations, and she was also an editor and journalist for her university's newspaper.
Amy holds a BA Hons in English Literature and Politics from the University of Exeter, where she was awarded a First Class.

Anna is a Senior Digital Account Manager at Genesis and is highly experienced in B2B and B2C marketing. She has a passion for implementing impactful digital strategies to improve user experience, grow online visibility and drive ROI.
Anna has experience in strategising and co-ordinating a wide range of marketing activities across both B2B and B2C sectors. She has previous experience working in-house, managing marketing activity within healthcare, wellness & beauty, education and international wholesale industries.
Her specialisms include website development and management, social media management, SEO, UX and CRO activities.
Anna graduated from Southampton Solent University in 2017 with a BA Hons in Journalism. Since graduating, Anna has had articles published in national and international publications, including China Today.
Anne joins PLMR following 14 years as an MP between 2005 & 2019. During her political career, she held a number of ministerial roles, including in both the Department of Health and the Department for Education. She also spent time as the Minister for Women in the Government Equalities Office and was Government Deputy Chief Whip from 2015 to 2017.
Since leaving parliament, Anne has remained actively involved in advising on health and skills policy and brings a wealth of experience to the team, providing strategic insights to PLMR's clients.
Annie joined Healthcomms as a Junior Account Executive in November 2020 and was quickly promoted to a Senior Account Executive. In her role Annie provides public affairs support to a wide range of medical technology clients. She is passionate about improving access to treatment for women and breaking down stigmas associated with women's health conditions.
Prior to joining Healthcomms, Annie worked as an Intern at HealthProm a charity supporting vulnerable children, women and families disadvantaged by poor health, disability and social exclusion. While at university, Annie also spent time as an Intern in an MPs constituency office and as an Intern Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed, supporting their policy and social media teams to improve the understanding of self-employment on the young.
Annie holds a BA(Hons) in International Relation from Nottingham Trent University, where she was an active member of the lacrosse society.

Anokhi has been with PLMR since 2012 and is based in the Midlands office.
Anokhi's role as Head of PR involves developing media opportunities, advising on and implementing PR strategies on behalf of clients and executing ideas that gain results. She also provides reputational management, ad-hoc digital marketing and internal communications support to a number of clients.
Anokhi has a proven track-record of managing high profile regional, national and international media relations, and over the years she has developed strong contacts across several national media outlets and newswires. With a strong nose for news, she works closely with journalists and clients to develop polling, thought-leading pieces and comment opportunities that lead to wide-spread coverage across national newspapers, broadcast media and the regional press. Recent stories have ranged from nursery staff citing screen time as a major factor in making children less imaginative; a potential ban on glitter and plastic toys in nurseries, right the way through to debates on whether care home staff should wear pyjamas at night-time during their shifts to support residents living with dementia.
Anokhi was also a key member of the PLMR team that secured a government U-turn on the requirements for early years educator apprenticeships. The one-year strategy involved creating a bedrock of support using social media, which was then boosted by a PR and public affairs campaign.
Outside of work, Anokhi is a volunteer ambassador for Brainwave, a national charity that helps children living with disabilities achieve greater independence.

Kevin Craig runs with Olympic Torch
Our Founder, Kevin Craig, is selected to be an Olympic Torch Bearer for the following year's Summer Games. Kevin's leg in the relay sees him handing over the Torch on the steps of St Paul's Cathedral.
