Receivers Unlimited was founded in 2010 to develop and apply new ideas from other areas of technology to optical TIA design. Many of the employees had previously worked at Circadiant Systems, which designed high speed(10GB/s and 25Gb/s) optical communication testing equipment. In addition, many of the employees have a physics background and had also previously worked at AT&T/Lucent Bell Labs. This unusual combination of backgrounds, Physics + Optical Communications + Electro-Optic Testing, is responsible for the unusual approach taken to TIA design. Receivers Unlimited is located near Allentown, PA., which was the center for ATT Bell Labs optical component development...
