John Bagwell - President

John Bagwell, President of Radio Station Promotions .com, began his radio career at the University of Oklahoma in 1965 at KUVY, the campus radio station. While attending college, he also worked as a news stringer for KOMA in Oklahoma City. In 1967 he served in the US Army with American Forces Radio in Vietnam as a disc jockey. While in Vietnam, he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star after the television station he was working at was taken by the enemy during the Tet Offensive. He also did a tour of duty in Italy on American Forces Radio. After returning to the States, he was employed in radio in Odessa, Texas, at several radio stations, including KRIG, KQIP, and KOZA, as a DJ and in sales. In the mid-1970, he moved to Oklahoma and continued to work off-and-on at various radio stations on the air and in sales. In the late 1970s, he formed an advertising agency called Bagwell Marketing. Later, he started Bagwell Promotions, a company to handles promotional products.
