The REIC was formed in 1983 as the Tampa Bay Investment Council. We incorporated in 1984 as a not-for-profit corporation, and changed our name to the Real Estate Investment Council, Inc. in 1987. In 1991, we qualified for federal income tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code...
