Mr. Hamzeh spent the first three years of his practice at Quinn, Emanuel, Urquhart, Oliver and Hedges, LLP, wherein he received extensive legal and trial training and experience in a variety of practice areas.
Thereafter, Mr. Hamzeh spent the next three years serving as general counsel for a software company, Tri Pole Corp and handled several multi-million dollar cases, including sitting second chair in a nine-day trial resulting in an unanimous defense jury verdict for his client. Mr. Hamzeh then decided to join a medium sized firm specializing in business litigation and, finally, to open his own legal practice involving both litigation and transactional services.
Throughout his experience as a litigator and community organizer, Mr. Hamzeh became more convinced of the need for dispute resolution, having seen the countless number of cases that could have been settled through mediation resulting in thousands to millions of dollars in legal fees (attorneys, experts, preparation costs) and prolonged conflict. Mr. Hamzeh has always been dedicated to mediating conflicts, whether involving legal or community disputes, and has turned his professional focus to dispute resolution.
Mr. Hamzeh has since received accreditation from the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University, Master Mediation Training from world renowned mediator Kenneth Cloke, training in expert negotiation from Gerard I. Nierenberg and certification in Conflict Analysis and Interfaith Conflict Resolution from the United States Institute of Peace. Mr. Hamzeh is a also a member of Mediate.com, AAA and the ABA. Mr. Hamzeh also serves the California Superior Court by mediating and arbitrating court-mandated disputes. These often include breach of contract, personal injury, tort actions, and wrongful death actions, ranging from partnership disputes to auto accidents, slips and falls to toxic mold cases.
He has handled numerous mediations involving personal disputes between businesses, business partners, individuals, family and friends and within a diversity of practice areas, including legal malpractice, auto-accidents, breach of contract, fraud, employment and wrongful death claims. Mr. Hamzeh also works with various community organizations by providing pro bono dispute resolution services and training. Mr. Hamzeh has extensive involvement in the community and sits on the board of several non-profit organizations. He also has a real estate broker's license. He is proficient in Arabic and has a working knowledge of French.
