Dr. Fernando Garcia is the medical director of Tijuana Bariatric Center where he leads a multidisciplinary team including a program coordinator, a physical therapist, a nutritionist and psychologist. Dr. García has performed over 10, 000 weight loss procedures with great success. His staff is highly trained and ready to help you with friendly, knowledgeable service. Dr. Fernando García received his Licensed Physician Degree From Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. He completed his residency in General Surgery from Hospital General (General Hospital), Endorsed by Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC). Dr. Fernando Garcia has over a decade of experience in bariatric surgery. Additionally, he serves as professor of advanced laparoscopic surgery at Universidad Autonoma de Baja California and worked for 10 years at Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social.
