At our institutes in Aachen around 1000 employees develop future technologies for our industrial partners, strengthening the competitiveness of large and medium-sized companies... Our employees are all renowned specialists in the fields of natural science, engineering and computer science. The Institute´s close cooperation with RWTH Aachen University, allows to connect applied research with excellent scientific education - from an university degree to a doctorate... Modern molecular biotechnology, with its numerous application-oriented techniques, encourages new ways of addressing important questions in medicine, chemistry and biotechnology, as well as in the sustainable use of valuable resources. At the Fraunhofer IME we use molecular biotechnology methods in fundamental research projects to develop specific processes and products, all in close cooperation with our industrial partners.
