ANNE MACKINNON

My work has been inspired by my travels round the world and the cities, landscapes and gardens that I have visited. My own garden has been a labour of love for the past 20 years and a great source of inspiration for my painting... I paint in watercolour and mixed media and many of my paintings are reproduced as limited edition giclee prints and greeting cards. My work is regularly exhibited throughout the North West of England and my greeting cards are for sale at the Bridgewater Concert Hall and Fletcher Moss Gardens in Manchester, Stockport Tourist Office and Farfield Mill in Cumbria... Lately my work has been inspired by the hills and dales of Cheshire, Derbyshire and Cumbria. I am fascinated by the patterns, shapes and repetition to be found in the natural world and I love to work outside capturing the changing moods, colour and light in these dramatic landscapes.
