An engineer by profession with a post-graduate degree in business administration and marketing, Mellisa has worked in the Middle East before moving to Australia and has had the opportunity to work in a multicultural and competitive environment with companies worldwide. She is a dedicated and passionate individual with over ten years of experience in medical sales, eight years of which have been solely in the field of patient care and rehabilitation. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding medical equipment and technology and works as a product consultant and clinical educator when the need arises. She specializes in all kinds of rehabilitation aids relating to pressure relief, seating, posture management and robotic technology, to name a few. Mellisa takes great pride in her work and believes that customer satisfaction is the key to a successful business. She is a fun-loving, people person. Outside work, she sings in a choir, volunteers in various ways at her church and doesn't miss the opportunity to break a leg at a party. She wants to make a difference in the world through her work and likes to live a mindful life where she is fully aware of the beautiful world we live in!

Vishwanath A Deshmukh

Vishwanath A Deshmukh is a Director & Allied Health Consultant for Advanced Rehabilitation Therapeutics. A committed allied health professional with a keen interest in using technology for neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cognitive rehabilitation. A recipient of the international scholarship for the postgraduate program in Occupational Therapy (OT) Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh UK in 2008- 2009. He has a global work experience of 17 years from Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and India. He has worked in various Government institutes and Private Hospitals and specialises in acute, rehab and community settings. Vishwanath has worked as a 'Clinical Researcher in Neurorehabilitation, primarily using robotics for assessment & interventions. He has collaboratively worked with a team of Rehab Physician's, Engineers and Allied health professionals to design the robotic-rehab programs for upper extremity post neurological or musculoskeletal injury. Besides, he is a co-author in various journal articles and presented abstracts/posters at various international conferences. Besides, He well versed in treating aged care and geriatric conditions. Vishwanath has a broad range of interests, including assistive/ adaptive equipment, falls prevention, home modifications, and injury prevention. Lately, he has managed a caseload of NDIS participants with complex high care needs in the disability sector. Further, Vishwanath has worked as a Hand Therapist and empowered the hand injured person to manage their injury; Implemented goals focused on optimising function, participation and return to work. Last but not least, Vishwanath likes to pay back to the community with his volunteer services for one of the world's largest volunteer and non-profit, non-governmental organisations, The Art Of Living Foundation. Vishwanath has been Volunteer and Meditation and yoga instructor for AOLF for the last 17 years.
