Allison Plesz

Allison provides systems and administrative support to CCE, including overseeing benefits and other HR functions. Prior to joining CCE, she was an office manager for an employee benefits consulting firm. Allison has also worked in administrative roles in multiple architecture firms and as a substitute elementary music and classroom teacher in New York State. She earned a B.S. in Communications with a major in Public Relations from Boston University.

Andrés Alonso

Annie Leonard

As Director of Coaching, Annie leads the conceptualization and implementation of an adaptive coaching approach that advances CCE's work to connect schools and their communities around measures that matter. She also leads the Innovation Career Pathways project, which provides professional learning for Massachusetts high schools involved in designing and sustaining work-based learning partnerships with local employers and workforce development boards. Innovation Career Pathways bring communities and schools together to make the high school experience more meaningful for students, supporting their agency and informed decision-making about post-secondary possibilities. Annie is also a visiting professor and mentor to principal candidates at Salem State University. She has been a public school educator for thirty years, serving as a teacher, project director, assistant principal, and principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in rural, suburban, and urban districts. She holds BA and MAT degrees from Brown University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from UMass Amherst.

Diana Williams - CCO

Diana is a professional communicator with more than 15 years of experience. As the Director of Communications, she shares CCE's mission and vision of equitable education through content that highlights and amplifies how equity-driven schools decrease barriers to learning and increase academic performance. She helps to set the tone for CCE's messaging, creates and implements strategic communications plans and manages both media and public relations. Prior to coming to CCE, Diana spent two years communicating energy policy after a 15 year stint in higher education at the University of Virginia (UVA). Her last 10 years at UVA were spent in various communications roles, including being the primary manager of UVA's central Twitter account. Diana is an outspoken advocate for public education and equity and has served as a school board member in her hometown of Waynesboro, Virginia since 2017. She has a Master's in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.

Eve Goldberg

Eve leads CCE's research team, working to document, research, and evaluate internal and external work across the organization and with our partner communities. She previously served as the Director of Research at the Nellie Mae Education Foundation where she led the conceptualization and implementation of the Foundation's research and educator leadership and development portfolios. Eve's prior research focused on student-centered learning and the formation of research-practice partnerships to democratize evidence building. She also served as a Research Assistant at the Education Development Center focused on school leadership and was a second-grade teacher at the Joseph A. Hardin Elementary School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Eve earned a B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University and an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Nicole Reynolds

Nicole serves as the program associate for the Community Partnerships for Teacher Pipeline (CPTP). She previously worked with the nonprofit, Mercy Housing, as an Activities Coordinator for 150 senior residents where she developed their daily & monthly events and built relationships with different community vendors. Prior to joining CCE, Nicole worked as a Senior Enrollment Counselor for Pearson's virtual K-12 school Connections Academy. With Pearson she mentored current team members & new hires and collaborated with families across 4 states to find the best educational environment for their students. Nicole received a B.A. in English Education from San Francisco State University.

Oscar Santos

Oscar leads CCE's program and strategic development, operations activities, district leader and superintendent communications, and the organization's learning and culture. A passion for social change drives his work within the organization to help schools and districts embrace educational equity and transformation through entrepreneurship and innovation. Before joining CCE, Oscar was President for Cathedral High School in Boston, where he led a 15,000 square foot expansion to house the Cathedral STEAM Applied Learning Center. During his tenure, the school had six years of 100% graduation and college acceptance. Oscar has also served as the Superintendent of Randolph Public Schools, where he launched an in-district alternative education program, as well as an innovative social emotional learning initiative for all K-5 schools. He was also the principal of Boston International High School, the first school in Boston specifically designed to educate English Language Learners. Prior to going into educational leadership, Oscar served as an AmeriCorps service learning fellow and a high school teacher, where he was recognized as Boston Teacher of The Year. Oscar earned a B.A. and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Boston College. He also earned a Master of Education and a Master of Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

Richard Chang

Richard Gray

Richard serves as CCE's Director of Community and School Development, providing support and strategic assistance to all CCE programs with a focus on building equitable and supportive relationships between communities and the schools that serve them. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Law School, helping students apply their legal training to advance authentic collaboration between educational institutions and communities. Before joining CCE, Richard served as the Deputy Executive Director of NYU's Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools and Community Development work and directed the Center for Education Organizing at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University. He was also the Co-Executive Director of the National Coalition of Advocates for Students (NCAS). Richard has a B.A. in History from Brown University and J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.

Yvonne Ribas

Yvonne Ribas, Director of Programs, leads program implementation for CCE's mission of increasing educational equity by bringing communities and schools together to ensure that students succeed and communities thrive. Yvonne is a key member of the senior leadership team with a focus on program design, development, implementation, iteration, and innovation to drive impact. Yvonne has served as the Project Director for Grow-Your-Own Teacher Pathway and Community Partnerships for Teacher Pipeline as well as Recruitment and Placement Director for Los Angeles Urban Teacher Residency, all funded by the US Department of Education. Yvonne demonstrates expertise in teacher recruitment-retention strategies for under-resourced schools and communities in Los Angeles as well as experience in developing CCE California Teacher Apprenticeship Program with the US Department of Labor and CA Division of Apprenticeship Standards. Yvonne is currently a doctoral candidate with research interests in cross-systems collaboration to increase equity, outcomes, and sustainability in teacher workforce development.
