Abigail is the Senior Proposal Development and Grants Manager at the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI). Her primary focus is across fundraising, grants and philanthropic partnership development activities including on-going relationship management with funders.
Previously Abigail worked as a responsible business consultant helping firms develop sustainability strategies and move from compliance to leadership, on the issues that matter to their stakeholders. She has also held roles in the not-for-profit sector working in the UK, Lesotho and South Africa. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cape Town.
Abigail is a board member of the Joffe Charitable Trust, which has a particular focus on tackling corruption & tax abuse and building stronger not-for-profit organisations.

Abraham Pedroza is the Lead Trainer of CBI's Training and Events team. His role is twofold: to serve as CBI's ambassador to accelerate investment into climate financial instruments and to help driving the sustainable finance and investment agendas through capacity building of various stakeholders focusing on capital markets.
Abraham possesses many years of experience coordinating and managing technically complex projects and programmes at the highest levels and across different geographies. Prior to joining CBI he worked for the United Nations Environment Programme on different agendas contributing to sustainable development and climate mitigation issues including: sustainable consumption and production, corporate social responsibility, sustainability reporting, sustainable procurement, consumer information tools, resource efficiency, life cycle approaches and other sustainable development issues and their link to the global political arena.
His educational background includes a MSc. degree in Policy Analysis from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, a MSc. degree in Network Industries and Numerical Economy from Ecole Polytechnique in France and he received his BSc. degree in engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
Abraham was born in Torreon, Mexico and he is passionate about projects contributing to attaining the global goals, practicing sports, dogs and Mexican cuisine.

Carlotta joined the Climate Bonds Initiative in 2020 driven by a commitment to systems change.
She is a mission-driven sustainable finance specialist, currently on the technical development side of the sustainable finance market, directing the development, maintenance and implementation of Climate Bonds' climate- and social-related methodologies that are applied to market data products.
Carlotta has led the Climate-aligned Research and Data Services of the Climate Bonds Market Intelligence team, and contributed to entity- and instrument-level sustainable market studies and briefings, as well as to Climate Bonds' Resilience Programme.
Carlotta previously worked at a London-based boutique hedge fund, covering natural catastrophe bonds and insurance-linked securities.
She graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a master's degree in Carbon Management, where she specialised in understanding climate change impacts and adaptation opportunities from business, economics, policy and climate science perspectives. She holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

Karen Kearney currently serves as Treasurer for Stanford University, California, where she is responsible for the university's capital markets strategy, debt portfolio and working capital management, as well as its global subsidiaries. She has spent over 20 years at Stanford in various financial roles, with experience in treasury, financial reporting, systems, tax, audit, compliance, and global operations. She serves as a Director or Officer on a number of subsidiary Boards, including in China, Chile, India, South Korea, South Africa.
In 2021, she led the issuance of the first ever dual-verified ESG bond in higher education, leveraging Stanford University's long-standing commitment to environmental and social sustainability. The bond was second party verified for both CBI's Climate Bond verification and ICMA Sustainability certified.
Previous Roles
Ms Kearney has spent over 30 years in mission-focused non-profit organizations, including as CFO of the iconic San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, as well as consulting on strategic planning for various non-profits. Her professional training was with Pricewaterhouse (Coopers), where she served Chartered Accountant articles.
She holds a BA, MA from the University of Cambridge, in Geography.
She is thrilled to leverage her academic training, non-profit finance, organizational and capital markets experience for the benefit of the Climate Bonds Initiative, contributing to its foundational work in the evolution of sustainability finance.
Kevin has 25 years of experience campaigning on issues of social justice. He founded Britain's biggest campaign on climate change and led a campaign resulting in the world's largest financial climate coalition. He conceived an anti-poverty coalition which ran the biggest ever lobby of the UK parliament, worked internationally on child malnutrition and led a global evidence review of the impact of violence against children. He also founded the world's largest campaign promoting entrepreneurship. His past roles include being Chief Executive of Enterprise Insight, which catalysed training for a million people, and Chief of Staff for a $4 billion charitable foundation. He has been a member of committees advising two UK prime ministers and the Queen.
