CONTEXT FURNITURE

Context Furniture started as an idea with a statement in mind in 2001. Owners Kerry and Bryce Moore combined their passion for graphic design and furniture making and founded Context Furniture. With the stated idea to elevate plywood into striking furniture with a understanding of it's context. A narrative of silhouettes, patterns and material would determined the first collection. With a bit a luck and a Good Design Award for their Narrative Arm Chair Context began working in earnest with Architects, Interior Designers, and Retail... The following collection was the William and Mary. The collection further illustrated the iconic graphic nature of what the brand was communicating. The turned leg silhouette illustrated that the graphic nature of the design could be manipulated. This allowed customers to have a fuller understanding of how they could make the designs more unique for their own purposes. The William and Mary chairs are specifically targeted towards the contract market.
