Dr. Florence Fernet-Leclair

Dr. Florence Fernet-Leclair joins us with great exhilaration, after 5 years practicing in Ottawa. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Montreal in 2011, and has since been committed to offering the highest level of optometric care in both French and English. She also found much personal growth and satisfaction from participating in a humanitarian mission in Transylvania, Romania. Dr. Leclair passionately believes in preventive medicine and is committed to emphasizing the discussion on eye health with all her patients. She focuses on helping patients of all ages achieve optimal vision for their lifestyle. Dr. Leclair is eagerly looking forward to taking care of you and your family.

Dr. Nicole Sehn

Dr. Nicole Sehn graduated with honours from the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo in 2017. Prior to this, she received an honorary degree in Biomedical Health Science from the University of Calgary in 2013. During her clinical training, she thoroughly enjoyed completing her Ocular Disease and Therapeutics externship at the Scarborough Eye Associates in Scarborough, Toronto. While there, Dr. Sehn diagnosed and co-managed diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal tears and more, with individualized mentorship from a retinal ophthalmologist. Dr. Sehn also had the opportunity to volunteer in an eyecare mission trip to Lima, Peru where she provided vision care services and glasses to patients with limited access to eyecare; this experience is one of her highlights as a student, and hopes to do more going forward.

Dr. Paul Neumann

Dr. Paul Neumann was born and raised in Toronto, but after two months in Victoria for his 1991 summer internship, he saw the light. Upon graduation from the University of Waterloo he moved to BC and started his private practice on the Peninsula in 1995. Dr. Neumann is a strong believer in empowerment and education, so his staff receive constant educational upgrades. He stays busy himself as a board member of Optometric Services inc., and through his involvement with the British Columbia Association of Optometrists. Dr. Neumann was the BCAO president from 2007-09 and received the President's award in 2012. Now practicing in a time of constant technological growth, he is very proud to offer the latest in computerized testing. While technology has moved forward, Dr. Neumann maintains the unhurried one-on-one care that is only possible in private practice.
