Cinzia Theobald

Cinzia has oversight of the day-to-day operations of enliven. Cinzia has worked in the pharmaceutical, education, and health sectors in Australia and the UK. She has held senior executive roles at Monash Health and South Eastern Melbourne Medicare Local. Cinzia has significant experience in strategic planning, business process review, service redesign and model development, clinical governance, health literacy, and the implementation of community health and wellbeing initiatives. Cinzia is passionate about increasing her knowledge and expertise in health promotion and primary prevention and enjoys learning new things every day from the talented team at enliven. Cinzia holds an LLM Masters in Medical Law.

Claire Dimsey

  • Graduate Health Promotion Officer
Claire holds a Bachelor of Public Health and Health Promotion, from Deakin University. She is passionate about empowering and building the capacity of young people to take control of their own wellbeing and very much enjoys working on community-based projects across a broad range of topics including food security and climate change. Claire loves spending time in nature and enjoys camping, visiting national parks and going to the beach.

Fotini Strongylos

Fotini is a values based leader with extensive experience in leading significant transformational reform across the health and not-for-profit sector and is recognised for her exceptional leadership and governance skills. She is currently the Executive General Manager of Mental Health & Wellbeing Service Innovation at the South Eastern Melbourne PHN, where she is responsible for leading organisational commissioning and co-design activities that support access and equity to health programs and initiatives for the most vulnerable members of our community. Fotini holds Graduate Certificates in Leadership and in Business.

Georgia Langmaid

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) majoring in Health Promotion and Sustainability. She recently completed her Honours degree within the School of Health and Social Development at Deakin University, which sought to further understand the role of health promotion in mitigating complex environmental issues such as climate change. She has experience volunteering in the not-for-profit sector, including community development in Peru. Georgia is passionate about capacity building and working at a grass-roots level within the community; assisting those most vulnerable to lead healthy, fulfilling lives and also creating sustainable change for future generations.

Gregg Nicholls - Chairman

Originally from Adelaide Gregg was formerly an academic and social researcher. He started his working life in Victoria with the then Community Services Victoria (now Department of Health and Human Services) based in Dandenong where he held several positions in the child protection and disability sector. Gregg has worked in the health and primary care sectors for 22 years in Bendigo and Melbourne. He is past Chair of the Inner East PCP and a member of several other committees and Boards. He is currently Deputy President of Council on the Ageing (COTA) Victoria and Chairperson of Victorian Primary Care Partnerships.

Heather Lawson

Job Titles:
  • Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation Manager
Heather is contracted by enliven to coordinate the Planetary Health portfolio. Her consulting experience builds on service provision and management roles across the health and community services sector in Local Government, Health services and with DHHS. She has a broad knowledge of aged care, CHSP, HCP, oral health and Primary Care Partnerships and has also worked with organisations to improve access for people with a disability, people from CALD and Indigenous backgrounds, and women and girls. Heather has significant experience and expertise in climate change resilience and adaptation.

Janneke Port

Janneke holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences majoring in Health Promotion and Nutrition from Deakin University. She has worked on a range of projects within the health education space including consulting work with the Deakin FreelancingHub. Janneke has experience working with vulnerable communities, volunteering with a startup not-for-profit organisation assisting families in crises. She is passionate about equity, empowering individuals, and creating an environment where the best choice is the easiest choice.

Kate Lowsby

Kate is a health promotion practitioner with experience working across a range of organisations within the not-for-profit sector. Kate holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Deakin University and a Bachelor of International Studies from RMIT. She has recently completed an Honours degree with Deakin University's School of Health and Social Development, with a focus on developing her knowledge and research skills in the area of preventing sexual harm and violence against women. Kate is passionate about promoting and undertaking community-based projects which focus on advancing human rights, climate justice, gender equality, and social inclusion.

Mary Rydberg

Mary has over 25 years of management experience with a number of government, community and health organisations. She is the previous Manager of Community Care with the City of Greater Dandenong. She is currently a Non-Executive Board member with Mallee Accommodation and Support Programs (MASP), and Mallee Track Health and Community Service. She is a member of Mildura Rural City Council Audit and Risk Committee and Board Chair of Mildura Base Public Hospital.

Natalie Ward

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences. She has worked in a range of fields, including medical and psychological research, health policy, and healthcare commissioning. Currently, she is completing a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery and a Master of Public health, with a focus on the role of the health sector in preventing and responding to violence against women. Natalie is passionate about integrating gender, equity and human rights approach in healthcare, and understanding the factors that are associated with optimal care in a person's interaction with health services.

Natasha Jose

Natasha completed her Master of Management specialising in Marketing from the University of Melbourne. She is a part of the Enliven team as its Administration and Communication Officer. Being highly passionate about the health sector, her graduate experience revolves around alcohol and other drugs treatment and refugee aid/assistance. She strongly believes in the importance of education and awareness relating to equal health opportunities and outcomes for all. In her free time, she can be spotted bingeing on crime documentaries and looking after her small veggie patch in her backyard.

Phillip Toovey

Job Titles:

Phillip has had an extensive career in the disability services sector. Until June 2021, he was Chief Executive Officer with The Bridge Inc., a not-for-profit social purpose organisation that provides a broad range of services to people with disability and other disadvantages, across the south eastern Melbourne metropolitan area. He currently works with the Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (Sharc) in a peer support role with their Family Drug and Gambling Helpline.

Prof. Grant Russell

Grant is a general practitioner and primary care researcher. His research program is oriented towards optimising the performance of the primary care practice in an era of primary care reform. Previously Head of the School of Primary Health Care (between 2011 and 2017) he is the Professor of Primary Care Research at Monash University's Department of General Practice, and Director of the Department's Southern Academic Primary Care Research Unit. He completed a PhD at the University of Western Australia in 2007 and worked for 7 years in health services research units at the Universities of Western Ontario (UWO) and the University of Ottawa Canada. enliven has been involved in a number of research initiatives with SAPCRU, notably the IMPACT and OPTIMISE projects and recently the Pop UP targeting the South Sudanese community.

Rob Macindoe

Rob works with the Board to determine strategic priorities and oversee stakeholder engagement. Rob has an extensive career in a variety of senior management and CEO roles across Local and State Government and the broader health sector with a focus on social planning, community health and wellbeing. His interest stems as a geographer within the context of people in place.

Sandra Young

Sandra is a Project Manager with enliven and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University. Sandra has worked in various management roles throughout her career in "Community Health'' in England and Australia. She has experience in strategic planning, finance, change management, managing teams, and setting up business systems, procedures, and processes. Sandra works in the Equity, Access, and Diversity team with portfolio responsibility for our LGBTQI+ Reference Group as well as AOD related projects

Silva Nazaretian

Silva has over 15 years of experience as an Accredited Practising Dietitian working in the tertiary sector, primary health, research, and within community organisations. Silva holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Monash University. Her particular fields of interest are in preventative health, workplace wellbeing, and the management of chronic illnesses. She is passionate about providing individuals with the necessary knowledge and tools to empower them to make healthy and informed decisions and guide them through their health journey. Silva is also passionate about developing and fostering partnerships to further and promote public health. She has extensive experience working with the CALD community within the Southern region. When not working, Silva loves spending time with her family and friends.
