Fouke Water Supply Corporation was originally formed in 1970. In July 1971 there were 430 members who had completed applications for water service. At that time FHA approved financing in the amount of $567,000 for construction costs for a contract to be awarded for land, two wells, two pump stations and water lines. Bids were opened in March, 1972 and when construction was completed, the system served water to approximately 700 customers. We have 7 wells, an overhead storage tank and approximately 500 miles of water lines in service and currently serve 2,323 active water meters...
