Adam Buss is a Partner in the Corporate Practice group of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

Mr. Buss is a long time volunteer of Take Stock in Children, a non-profit organization that provides college scholarships and mentors for deserving low-income students from minority families. He is also actively involved in the youth mentoring organization Big Brothers Big Sisters and has tutored underprivileged high-school students in algebra through the Daniel Foundation.

Mr. Kirschner's main practice areas are corporate, corporate governance, finance, mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions.

Mr. Patterson specializes in real estate and municipal bond finance law. He has served as lead bond counsel in connection with the issuance of bonds by the state of Georgia. He also has represented several governmental authorities and entities, particularly in matters relating to housing and redevelopment.
Mr. Patterson has served as President of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, President of the Gate City Bar Association, Chairman of the Judicial Commission of the City of Atlanta, member of the State Bar of Georgia Committee on Specialization and Recertification and the Formal Advisory Opinion Board, as well as a member of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Examiners where he served as Chairman in 2002.
Mr. Patterson has served as Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee. He has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Sadie G. Mays Nursing Home; President of the Intergenerational Resource Center; a member of the Board of Trustees of the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky; Penn Cultural Center, Frogmore, South Carolina; Leadership Atlanta; Chairperson of the Church Council of Cascade United Methodist Church and the Board of Directors of The Heritage Fund of the Atlanta Medical Association, Inc. Mr. Patterson has also served as the Chairman of the Legal Redress Committee of the Atlanta Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) of which he is a life member. He is also a life member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He is also a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Kappa Boulé and serves as its General Counsel. In addition to his full-time legal practice, Mr. Patterson is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Clark Atlanta University School of Education.

Mr. Patterson began his career as a partner in the law firm of Jackson, Patterson & Parks founded by Maynard Jackson, former Mayor of the City of Atlanta.
Mr. Patterson graduated from Fisk University with honors in 1965 with a major in History. He matriculated at Harvard Law School in September 1965 where he graduated in 1968. He was a founding member of the Harvard Black Law Students Association in 1967. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Sean A. Altschul is a Partner and Head of the New York Real Estate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Sean Altschul is a true pro in all areas of real estate. The New York Times has quoted Sean on multiple occasions, and he is the author of "Hidden Issues Emerge in Commercial Property Acquisitions," published by Real Estate Weekly.
He has developed a deep and broad understanding of Real Estate transactional matters as a result of representing numerous property owners, real estate developers, investment management companies, real estate equity and opportunity funds, multi-generational real estate families, and a wide array of investors regarding the acquisition, sale, and financing of shopping centers, multi-family properties, commercial, retail, and industrial buildings, vacant land, restaurants, mixed-use buildings, condominium units, cooperative apartments, and private homes.
Additionally, Sean has extensive experience with all aspects of leasing transactions, representing landlords, tenants, and subtenants with a myriad of property types throughout the United States, including office buildings, warehouses, restaurants, retail space as well as regional malls (anchor and mall tenants), and neighborhood shopping centers. When it comes to lending, Sean is equally accomplished and has represented all types of borrowers and institutional and private lenders on a wide variety of loan facilities, including senior and mezzanine loans, construction financing, asset-based transactions, restructurings, and the disposition of distressed debt. He has mastered all phases of mortgage foreclosure and is also highly skilled in negotiating workout agreements for loans that are in default.
In cooperative and condominium law, Sean has represented numerous sponsors of offering plans in the conversion process to condominium ownership and has served as general counsel to several cooperative and condominium housing corporations. Sean has been heavily involved with overseeing apartment corporations' commercial leases, construction contracts, and refinancing of underlying mortgages. His knowledge also extends to general corporate matters, including matters relating to tenant stockholders, board members, managing agents, contractors, superintendents, building employees, and others.
Sean is a member of the Real Property Law Section and Cooperatives and Condominium Committee of the New York State Bar Association. Sean is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has served as a guest lecturer on timely real estate-related issues for various business organizations. He is also a frequent contributor to The New York Times. Sean was named a New York Rising Star in 2013 and 2014.
Sean received his A.B. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1996 and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999, where he earned the Cali Excellence for Future Achievement Honor. He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida.
