GUELPH CAT CLINIC - Key Persons

Dr. Isabelle Farly

Job Titles:
  • Veterinarian
Dr. Isabelle Farly graduated from the University of Montreal in 1999 and completed an internship in small animal medicine/surgery in Chicago the following year. She always had a great love for cats and jumped at the opportunity to join a cats-only veterinary clinic near Washington DC in 2001. She has worked exclusively with cats ever since. Dr. Farly understands how difficult and stressful it is to get your cat to the vet and she will work with you to minimize your cat's anxiety. She also believes strongly in preventative health care and annual visits, since cats are notorious for hiding illness. Two very fluffy cats keep her company at home. Fred, a tan and white Selkirk Rex, is constantly at play and loves exploring closets. Hugo, a charcoal Persian Cross, loves to snuggle against mommy whenever she sits down. Dr. Farly enjoys all things sci-fi and is learning how to draw in her free time.

Dr. Nancy Poremba

Job Titles:
  • Veterinarian
Dr. Nancy Poremba graduated with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021. Growing up in Brantford, Ontario, Dr. Poremba's love of cats was nurtured through her years of working for her local SPCA. She was particularly inspired by the work of the feline-exclusive practices in the area and the tangible difference they made for the comfort and care of their patients. She has strong interests in surgery, nutrition, and pain management, but has the biggest place in her heart for new kitten appointments for helping them to get their best start possible. Dr. Poremba is an avid advocate for animal fostering, rescue, and community cat programs and has shared her home with many dozens of kittens over the years while they receive care and await adoption. She is also fond of doting on her family's rescue kitty, Princess, who was adopted as a senior cat. Away from work, Dr. Poremba is a self-described unabashed nerd whose hobbies include video games, comic book collecting, and Dungeons & Dragons.
