IFERC

After Helios operation, an "IFERC HPC follow-up working group" was set-up in 2017 in order 1) to address the topics to share experience and best practices in the design and operation of HPC centres for fusion users and in the usage of such centres by fusion users in Europe and in Japan, 2) to prepare/monitor "BA simulation projects" by providing various computer resource, and 3) to consider the possibility and to provide input for the joint procurement of a supercomputer in the context of BA Phase II based on the expected lifetime of the current systems in EU and in JA.
