In 2008, feeling led to a deeper, more personal way of doing ministry, Kyle joined the Pastoral Staff of a local congregation where he pastors, preaches and shares his musical gifts. His role there allows him to accept concert booking and speaking invitations that blend his songs with teaching content. His over 700 past engagements are too many and too varied to list, but 2011 is a good sample year. In addition to his concerts, Kyle provided music for the annual Pastor's School at Truett Seminary at Baylor University and the WMU national convention. He was the guest lecturer for the annual Hiller Lectures at the Sioux Falls Seminary, Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, TN, and the Lilly Foundation Lecture for Vocational..
