LEARN is an association (a Company Limited by Guarantee without the suffix "Ltd" at the end of the name), registered under the companies act of Sri Lanka. The association is governed by the Board of Directors consisting of a representative from each of the 15 public universities and the University Grants Commission... Our network is an advanced network supporting IPv6 and multicast. It currently includes optical fiber links ranging from 2Gbps to 10Mbps to most campuses... We also have direct connections to SchoolNet, the network connecting secondary schools, and the Local Government Network (LGN), the network connecting government institutions in Sri Lanka.
