The Metal Handicrafts Service Centre [ MHSC ], Moradabad, is an institution established by Government of India with Financial and Technical Assistance of United Nations Development Program [ UNDP ] and Government of Uttar Pradesh as well and is functioning under the Administrative Control of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India being Chairperson .The Project of MHSC was approved by Department of Science & Technology and Planning Commission ,now its NITI Aayog [ UNDP - IND / SS / 026 ] and Implemented by Standing Finance Committee of Department of Textiles , Ministry of Commerce , Government of India in March 1983. Foundation stone of this Centre had laid by the then Hon'ble Minister of Commerce, Government of India Shri Vishv Nath Pratap Singh in presence of Hon'ble State Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh Shri Hafiz Mohmad Siddique on dated 24 March 1984.
