CHI OAKES HOSPITAL

Oakes Community Hospital, dba CHI Oakes Hospital, is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14,000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007, replacing a 50-year old building, and in 2010, Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building. The hospital is part of a larger values-based organization, CommonSpirit Health... CHI Oakes Hospital is ranked highly in the entire CommonSpirit Health system in the categories "likely to recommend" and "overall satisfaction."... CHI Oakes Hospital is part of the Midwest Division of CommonSpirit Health. The hospital name officially became CHI Oakes Hospital in 2014 when it became bart of a strong healthcare system, Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI). CHI then merged with Dignity health in 2019 to become CommonSpirit Health.
