While the times have changed significantly since renowned architect Willie Park, Jr. designed the current layout in 1924, the course still holds true to its roots of "greens of remarkable smoothness, inviting fairways, and well-devised hazards". With a par of 69 and a length of some 6500 yards, the course has withstood the test of time and is still recognized as one of the elite golf courses in Rhode Island.
