PERDUE MARINE - Key Persons

Henry "Hank" Perdue

Henry "Hank" Perdue started Perdue Marine by buying and selling boats in Freeport, Illinois in the early ‘70s. As an entrepreneur with a passion for boating, Hank knew he needed to be closer to the largest private residential lake in the state of Illinois - Lake Carroll. Lake Carroll, north of Lanark, Illinois in those days had become a fast-growing lake community in need of a business that could provide full boating services. Hank and his wife Ruth, a nurse at the time, purchased a home at Lake Carroll and soon began moving Perdue Marine from Freeport to Lake Carroll. Building a new marine facility on Zier Road near Lake Carroll, Hank and his son Chad began to grow their business as fast as new homes were being built at the lake. Personal service to meet the needs of boat owners has been the hallmark of Perdue Marine ever since those early days.
