In the past financial year, we represented 602 people before the Department of Home Affairs, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Immigration Assessment Authority and the Federal Court. We also provided 1687 advices on immigration law matters in our West End office and, as part of our commitment to broaden access to justice, we gave 1031 advices in outreach locations and over the phone... In our commitment to legal education, we provided 12 Continuing Professional Development sessions to lawyers and migration agents. We presented 40 legal education sessions to schools, community workers, and community groups about migration law and on general legal topics including criminal and consumer law, police, family law, domestic violence, and conflict resolution... Established in 1980, we are a leading non-profit organisation that strives to empower migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and their families.
