David Dew

David and Lynette established David Dew Funeral Services in 1996. Since that time it has been David's vision to expand the services of the company to create a comprehensive funeral and memorial service in Masterton. David began his Funeral Services career in 1987, and has gained nationally recognised qualifications in embalming and funeral directing. For three years David was the Tutor for Funeral Service education based at The Central Institute of Technology, running the courses for embalmers and funeral directors to become qualified in the industry. David is now a moderator of education for the industry, which keeps him involved on a national level. David currently is involved in all aspects of the running of the Funeral Home, but more particularly funeral arranging, embalming, and headstone design. David enjoys cycling the outskirts of Masterton, vegetable gardening and spending time with friends and family.

Lynette Dew

Lynette is married to David, and together they are the company directors of Rosewood Funeral Home, formerly David Dew Funeral Services. Lynette is a funeral director, meeting families and making the arrangements for the funeral. She also assists at funerals, caring for families as they arrive, controlling the sound desk and taking photographs. She also often plays the piano for funerals in the Rosewood Chapel. On the administrative side Lynette looks after the accounts payable and taxation parts of the business. Lynette is an active member of the Wairarapa Community having lived in Masterton since 1982. She is involved with several singing groups, Songbirds, the Wairarapa Singers, and the St Matthew's evensong choir. David and Lynette are active members of the Masterton Baptist Church. Lynette and David like to garden and enjoy the great outdoors. Lynette and David have five adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.

Paul Gadsby

Paul works at Rosewood as a Funeral Assistant, performing funeral support, embalming and headstone duties. He is a talented local artist and has achieved success in recent exhibitions. Paul is supported by his young son.

Stephen Walker

Stephen is an experienced Funeral Director, working in both Tauranga and Wellington, before moving to Masterton in 2016 to enjoy all the Wairarapa has to offer. He is Assistant Manager of Rosewood Funeral Home and draws on a wealth of experience in guiding and assisting families through the funeral process. Stephen is supported by his wife and three daughters.
